| Since my car got pretty much destroyed after being rear-ended then being thrown into the car infront of me... I thought I would share some good news with you. I gave the CA36c a little bit of a makeover. She is meaner looking than ever and more functional as well. My comparision - Kate Beckinsale in a tight leather bikini. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] There would be a Classic Army C-mag in the pic as well but unfortunately they sent me a cheap M16 mag instead!!!! I was a little ticked off and arranged to get my money back already. It looks a lot longer, but it really is only about 1.5-2 inches at the most. The new stock is awesome. It still folds over, but its adjustable length and holds a battery in it... so charging / changing the battery out of the G36 is WAY easier than before. It will be an MG36 here soon, but I have to get a car and my money back from Airsoft Atlanta first. I also need to get a G3 style bipod for it to get it under the support guidelines. With the way it is setup right now, it feels wonderful. I never would have imagined that it would feel this much better. I like it A LOT!!! | |

| Oh and by the way, I have a set of Systema high speed gears, Systema Piston, Area 1000 tappet plate and a new hop up rubber to install... so it will be shooting faster, and even more reliable than before. With the upgrades I already have... it will make one heck of a nice support weapon and it will be WAY lighter than a M249. | |

Looks like I need to start adding some externals to make it prettier. (I have to be able to compete) His is looking more and more like the Star SL9. Another very beautiful gun, by the way.

| Once it gets a C Mag on there with a bipod, it wont look much like a sniper. Most likely it will just strike fear into the hearts of our enemies. Not to mention it will have a BB capacity of 2500rds and will be spitting them out like crazy. Practice will be interesting once I get that mag. | |

| Wow. 2,500 rounds, huh? That'll be nice having you on our side Although a lot of events won't let you even use it I have a question. Won't that burn up your motor if you use it like a SAW though? What kind of internals are you pushing? | |

Well if he is also using high speed gears that will put even more stress on the motor. Hope he has a totally overhauled mechbox, a weaker spring, or a lot of money to buy things because stuff will break.

| Admin, if the CA36 has a bipod and a Cmag it is considered an MG36, which is a support weapon and is generally accepted at ALL events as a support weapon. So dont worry, that wont be a problem, I will be allowed to use it pretty much anywhere I go. Fox, actually pretty much everything in the mechbox will have been replaced. So, I would have to say it will do just fine and I have plenty of money to replace parts. I also do all my own mechbox work, so there is no money spent on labor. -Parts in mechbox: Systema aluminum piston, Area 1000 piston head, PDI 150% spring, metal spring guide with ball bearing, Systema high speed gears, Systema Magnum high torque motor, metal shims, Area 1000 tappet plate, and it is running off of a 9.6 volt battery. So as you can see, the only thing that is still stock are the Classic Army oilless 7mm bearings (which are good), Classic Army air nozzle (works fine) and the Classic Army mechbox shell (if it cracks, I will get a Systema). Honestly, the Magnum motor is way overkill on this setup, so I doubt it will have a problem keeping up. It is designed to push extremely stiff springs and the PDI 150% isnt that stiff. A lot of people actually believe the Version 2 mechbox is stronger than those found in the M249's... it is debateable, but I would say with the aftermarket parts available for the Version 2, it may be the best choice to build a platform for a support replica. Dont worry I will be fine for quite some time and with this particular replica's accuracy, which just about any of the guys that have played against it can attest, I wont need to shoot very long bursts to hit anybody within 50 yards. | You should make a post of how to tear apart a mechbox and put it back together. I've done it but it took 4 hrs to get back together and when I went to fire it... it didn't work. So now it is in a air-smiths being fixed up (they are also installing a M140 spring and Systema torque up gears on to of the other things I installed. ) PS: Mine is a Ver. 2 | |

| I can do that... next time I take one apart (maybe tomorrow?) I will take a bunch of photos and do a step by step with tips. Once you do it a few times, it is pretty straight-forward... and most mechboxes are pretty similar to one another. It generally takes me longer to get it stripped down to the mechbox than taking apart the mechbox and reassembling it. With my M14, I can take it apart and put it back together in about 30 minutes. The CA36 and AK take longer because it is a little more involved getting to the gearbox... especially the AK. Look for a post here in the next week or two. | |

| NICE! I want that same stock for my G36K. Do you have a guide on take-down/rebuild of the mechbox? | |
