| This is a two part topic first who plays airsoft and paintball. I play paintball and airsoft I don't play speedball though I only play woodsball. Second and why I added a poll do you think there are paintball snipers. I asked your opinion but yes I am one I have jacked my FPS to 450 to take long shots ( in airsoft world it travels and feels like a 800 FPS gun in no wind) I also have a moded gun its a 98 custom with a 20 inch sniper barrel an E trigger and a dogleg air thru stock. Its a stock that curves around your mask so you get a perfect vision down my scope. | |

| i said no because there isn't really any way to get the paintball marker to be bolt action or to be a sniper rifle. I think that it is only a modified marker just like everyone else has only more fps and a little more accurate but thats just what i think. P.S. i used to play paintball both speed ball and wood. | |

| There are definitely paintball snipers. check this out http://shop.specialopspaintball.com/blackcell-ion-longbow-kit.html this is just a kit for a smart parts ion which shoots about 20 rps on full auto. You can program the motor for semi auto only or 2 or 3 round burst. I love the ion, my friend has one. If there is a reason to love paintball this is it. I am a previous paintball player and a set up for the dagger position. | |

| O no but that is my main site, I haven't joined the forum. I currently am working on setting my custom pro act to be all cqb. Collapsible stock, four inch barrel, and air thru hose. | |

| I voted no because of realism but you can make spectacular shots with a paintball gun.

| Marksman yes, Sniper no! You cannot acutately replicate a sniper in paintball, and even if you do crank your FPS up to an unsate amount you not going to bar accurate.
This is one of the many reasons I left paintball.

| Well sticks that why I have a 20 inch sniper barrel and am getting a Hammerhead rifled 16 inch with the standard Tippmann 98 custom barrel "Watch your language" no but when you jack your FPS and fix yourself with the right barrel you have weapon as accurate as an airsoft sniper rifle besides ever hear of RAP4 they make exact replica paintguns http://www.rap4.com/paintball/os/rap4-frostbite-sniper-with-marker-p-3771.html check that out. | |

| I have a Tippman Triumph EXT fully automatic , bolt action , red in color with black designs , 20 oz tank , and double trigger , while I have never , repeat never been to a paintball war , wouldn't you know it the day I bought my paintball gun , airsoft gained popularity around here . | |

| I have seen all the Rap 4 products, I watched them closely as they "grew up". They still don't replicate RS guns as accurately as airsoft guns do. Besides there all half a grand+.
And that sniper I could build with $300. Paintball will never match airsoft in realism, just because not everyone in paintball are as dedicated to realism as others are.

| I Think that replicating a sniper would be just as easy in paintball than in airsoft. Unreal looking guns don't make any differance, It all has to do with tactics Snipers in paintball Yes! | |

| i know that there are paint-ball snipers but i don't know if i would want to play with them because it hits a lot harder and you don't get to get an even battle because a regular paint-ball gun wont go as far as a regular paint-ball gun. | |

| Good point kkoerber but in airsoft who has better the range the sniper or the infanty man. Same in paintball looks like there are a lot of 98 customs here do you guys know that Tippmann is making a pistol to rival the Tiberius Tac 8 its due to come out 2009. By the way A_S Ive been looking at the triupmh but Im not sure how good it will be Im getting a tourney speedball gun but Im not sure about the triupmh. Because Ill take a Tippmann over a Dye any day mostly for price though. | |

| yea i see were you are coming from but the biggest point in a sniper is the accuracy...sure they will go far but you might have trouble hitting them | |

| Nope none at my paintball gun is highly accurate because its upgraded to use wasted CO2 to make very accurate shots the wasted CO2 goes to my cyclone hopper force fed by waste CO2. Also it dosent matter how its shot because my barrel grabs the ball and air pressure and directs it in a 4 inch grouping at 150 yards. | |

| I want to use compressed air in my paintball gun. Also, Satan If you want a speedball gun you should look into the smart parts line. My friend has the ion with the angel hair trigger. On semi auto you can fire at around twenty rounds per second.
Kkoerber, it's Chris Light's gun if your wondering. | |

| Triumph is owned by Tippman just like GM owns GMC and Chevrolet , and Ford owns Ford and Lincoln , so buying a Triumph is buying a Tippman . | |

| If you heard satan earlier he can shot 150yds with his paintball gun, that is more than any airsoft sniper would get, but that is not the discussion. | |

| If you are getting the ion I would wait to fire it before you get the angel hair because you may not need it because it feels like angel hair. there is no pull whatsoever. Also if you play woods ball program the motor for full auto of 3 round burst to conserve ammo. | |
