Scout Pits

For those who don't know what one is...
Its a a hole dug to your hip with a six inch ledge all around. you lay straight sturdy logs across this ledge and sucure them so someone can walk over them with them breaking or moving. you put the dirt back on top replant any plants moved and camoflauge the entrance hole.

I use them all over our home field. I have the basic ones like the kind stated above for recon. I also use one thats modified. It has the logs up higher and put port holes around the side so I can shoot out of the scout pit. Anybody else use em.

Ya I've used them at ops, although it's easy for a marksman to get bogged down inside one of em if/and when the enemy discovers your location. I prefer to use natural forms of shelter.
