ok, stupid question, what's a Mil-Sim?

Mil Simulation =
Military Simulation..
Meaning how the military feels like (combat, area like, ETC)

Slob knows alot about Mil sims, ask him!

the whole point of military simulation is to show the player what it is like to be in actual combat. it is lacking death, arty, and flesh wounds however.
this concludes Jarhead's rant time. he felt tired.

oh, ok. but ive seen U.S. Army (well, i forget which branch) do simulations with paintball guns before, but they were so jacked up that they were the size of real M4s, and fully metal. the show-thing i was watching explained that a company made the guns specificly for the Army. then it went on to say that the reason they used paintball guns was to see where the soldiers were hit. so in that circumstance paintball would be Mil-Sim. but back on topic.

well, I enjoy working on my guns which is a hobby, yet the scirmishes are a sporty aspect to the hobby of airsoft.

Airsoft is definetly both. And I would like to point out that airsoft teams have regular practices. Just throwing that out there.
