i start whenever school starts! i can also join one of the extra-curricular things they have, like rifle team (shooting with bb guns), drill team, and a silent drill platoon sort of thing. i'm thinking of either rifle team or silent drill platoon. if you don't know what silent drill platoon is, here's a vid for you!

well, i had to register for school today, and my high school has it. ask your school district about it if you're interested.

well, there are different kinds. mine is Marines, but there are also Army, Navy, and Air Force ones.

ah, i beg that my high school has army, and does it mean that if you sign up ur going to the service, like you sign contract?

haha, no, you don't sign your life away yet. but you do qualify for increased pay grade if you complete full JROTC.

I've been accepted too AF JROTC next year. I'm doing a condensed program, 2 years instead of 4 and I do the JROTC part in the morning instead of having normal classes.

E3 here I come! I can't beleive the AF is paying for everything too, $350 for my basic uniform next year.... Thats if I only get 2 pairs of my daily uniform, if I need more I can request it after a few weeks....

Actually if you knew jack "Watch your language" about the military you would know that its not about killing people. Its all about protecting the wonderful rights that allow you too say something as "Watch your language" up as that on the internet without having your arm chopped off like they do in some random bazaar in Iran.

Also, ever heard of OP: Provide Hope? How about OP: Unified Assistance? Check your "Watch your language" before you make a stupid comment like that again....

Also, don't take this too personally, I get angry when anti Military people don't know why they hate the military. Usually its a huge misunderstanding of what they do...

you just have to know how to keep safe and make the right decisions. if you're stupid and run in like rambo, you're going to be sent home in a plastic bag with a tag on your toe. if you're smart and keep your head about you, you'll be coming home, albeit with a few problems. sometimes, though, you have no chance. it's just a "Watch your language" random incident. like digging in and hitting unexploded ord. with your E-Tool. having your rifle so clean it could be operated on, and having a jam that blows your face off. stepping on a mine somebody forgot after the last civil war. being shot by a friendly because you looked an awful lot like a Haji. getting pegged by that one mortar round that had nobodies name on it. there are just random incidents that will kill you, WW.

and i'm sorry WW, but i can't agree with you this time out. sticks is absolutely right.

i've read about how our guys would go into a village and build a school, only to have it and all the kids attending blown to "Watch your language" as soon as the first classes began. WW, because of our soldiers who are serving for this great country, you have the privilege to go to school safely everyday.

and WW, you can be killed as a civvie, too. you could crash your car, get shot, get shot with a nail gun, piss off a guy that knows how to make explosives, fall down a flight of stairs, crash your bike and die, break your neck, drink too much beer and die, get addicted to drugs/alcohol, the list goes on and on.

Jarhead congrats man! Do you have a classroom class per say? We get too learn about basic Aerospace aerodynamics in AF JROTC. What do they teach you in the USMC JROTC?

from what i understand, the first year is mainly just PE credit. you do PT every other0 day, then do tests and stuff on thursday. you learn Corps history (easy one for me ) when you're not doing PT, and you can do extra-curricular things like rifle team at "zero hour", basically, 0600. haha, rifle team will suck at 0600, because in the winter it's still dark at that time.

Actually that sounds really fun. We do a full day pf PT every Friday(it is the chairforce lol). I'm not sure about the shooting part though. I already got a gig going, the OSU(largest college in the country right now) pistol club guys are all comp shooters who are teaching me how too shoot well. Its not a huge facility, but for free lessons and $10 too rent protection, half a brick of .22 and a firearm rental its a great deal.
