Wow WW that was one "Watch your language" of a shitty comment. Enter the American military its evolved quite a bit since Nam bud. We have advanced armour on vehicles and people and you don't often see large scale death tolls for the US maybe 1 to 2 guys killed from an IED. The military is quite safe another added bonus is were and super power and pretty much the most deadly one there is.

So agreeing with stick maybe is aint your life. But don't be talkin "Watch your language" about people who want to defend thier "Watch your language" country. Your of the the kind of person thats afraid to do what others do and so you let them do it for you.

Bah, you get a great marksman telling you how too shoot that BB gun though! If they offered NJROTC or MCJROTC in my district I would do it, but I have too settle for the airforce I guess .

Actually if you knew jack "Watch your language" about the military you would know that its not about killing people. Its all about protecting the wonderful rights that allow you too say something as "Watch your language" up as that on the internet without having your arm chopped off like they do in some random bazaar in Iran.

Also, ever heard of OP: Provide Hope? How about OP: Unified Assistance? Check your "Watch your language" before you make a stupid comment like that again....

Also, don't take this too personally, I get angry when anti Military people don't know why they hate the military. Usually its a huge misunderstanding of what they do...

I get that, but what happens when somones mother and father have to bury their son after an ied or a sniper takes his life?and I will settle this peacfully.

it is a sad thing when one of America's fighting men/women gets killed, but unfortunately, there is no such thing as a bloodless war. in combat, people will die, and it's not always going to be the other guy who catches the bullet.

but.... man sorry for hijacking your thread, but why war, why should we fight and what is the point, to get more kills

Yep, reviving the thread. Just wanted to bring you guys up to speed on what we do in MCJROTC. First off, we use Marine Unit Organization, meaning we are divided into companies, platoons, squads, and fireteams. Unit Division goes like this: four Cadets equal a fireteam. Two fireteams equal a squad. Three to four squads equal a platoon. Seven platoons equal a company (at least in my company anyways). There about five companies in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area. I am in the one company from Rio Rancho, a company made of MCJROTC Cadets from two high schools. Each of the MCJROTC Companies in the area compete against other MCJROTC companies, and sometimes AJROTC, NJROTC, and AFJROTC companies. We compete in shooting, drill, and color guard competitions. We also do work for various charity groups and some events. During the World-Famous Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, my Company volunteered to help with parking and other various tasks. On Mondays and Fridays, MCJROTC does PT (physical training), and, twice a semester, PFT (physical fitness tests). We run a mile and a half every other week. We also do some PT with Cadets from the UNM NROTC program. On Tuesday and Wednesdays, we learn about Marine Corps History, Values, and Terms. On Thursday, we wear our uniforms, usually accompanied by inspections, tests on Marine Corps History, Values, and Terms, and occasionally, PT in uniform.
