Oh, no it is not my friend. We once had a dude in my platoon named Sergio who had long dreads and refused to get them cut. One day, he fell asleep in class, so the SMI shaved a part of his head so he looked all retarded. My rifle team is famous for giving what is known as a ROTC Haircut or a Rifle Range Haircut. Basically, when a person is on the line waiting to be cleared to fire, you grab a roll of duct tape and... well, you get the idea. It is very effective if you stick it on well enough.

Wow you guys musthave one easy going range master....if we tried anything like that ...*shudders* our SAI would have kicked our asses. Iono we were a HUD unit so we all followed the rules, the SAI and platoon sarges would give out free haircuts as well..good ones to.

It's the most practical way to go. It doesn't get in your eyes, you barely have do anything with it other than cut it AT LEAST every month. Also you won't look like a girl.

You would have to get the range master's permission first, so he could get everything just right so the haircut would be safe. He loved to mess around with all the first year shooters, including me, haha. That kinda helped.

You ever get into fights? Short hair/no hair will help you out man. Trust me on this.

the other reason they perfer short hairand no facial hair is so the gas mask will suction onto there face like it should, not widly known. But even them small hairs can leave airgaps in the mask not to fun to breath in what your trying to use against then enemy. also it help stop zits from forming on the face which can lead to infection.

yeah, also why some hair is left on the head, so theres somthing for the helmet to grab onto otherwise it just slides around.

Yep. Even wearing the old steels is difficult without a little bit of fuzz on your head
