Sorry to burst your bubble, but I will be the first to buy one. In addition to it being an ARES piece, it is a PPSH. Defintely (spell check) worth the price tag.

I would buy one if I ever ventured into that sort of loadout, but other than that, nah, just not practical enough for me

There's another one out there that just came out made by Hexagon i think their name is. I faintly remember hearing they are the OEM of the ARES or ARES is the OEM for Hexagon, i can't recall which.

On the gun though i think it's amazing. 300fps is a very low for my tastes even for CQB, but i think i'd take this over any other SMG on the market for a CQB gun. Plus i just love old WWII Soviet military stuff.

I like using that gun for when I kill zombies.

I think velocity is so misunderstood these days. 300 fps will still reach out just as far, and really is easily upgraded. Most nice TMs and CAs come with this velocity as well, because it really shouldn't be a huge factor when buying an AS gun, because build quality and reliability are much more mportant. Even looks are more important than stock velocity IMO. You have to like the gun your using, and pretty much once you buy it you're stuck with that look. Velocity and ROF can be easily upgraded.

I don't use higher FPS for range i use it for power. When the other guys BB's can't make it through the woods without getting deflected or stopped by brush and twigs i laugh when i unleash a burst of 400 fps BBs that DOES cut through brush. For CQB that doesn't matter so much but i still like something higher then 300.
