Semi-auto Sniper Rifle for a DM

I was thinking today, what if you got say, a MKII or MKI Gas Semi Automatic Sniper Rifle. do you guys think it would work to use it for use as a DM? I kinda thought if your with your teamates and and they have full auto guns, than perhaps you could just have semi auto.

do you think that would work? of course with probably a lower powered gas pistol for close engagements. Also about a reliable sidearm I was thinking of getting the WE 1911 Knighthawk, which internally is the same as the WE 1911.

any help is appreciated.

The MKI and MKII sniper rifles are just KJW pistols with a stock.
Really, its not a very good looking gun.

No rails, no real upgrade options, and just not the right "look".

Really I just said those as examples and wasn't actually contemplating buying them (sorry for the shortness but I'm on my iPod.)
