Boots...

Yup, I am in need of a pair of boots for airsofting and the like. I just have absolutely no idea what is good and what isn't, and the prices scare me a little. But, my shoes that I have right now were about the same, so it makes sense. What's a good, not super-expensive boot that preferably is black (green is EVERYWHERE where I live). Thanks.

For twenty dollars more, you can get the standard boot of the USMC. The Belleville 550 STs. I highly recommend them. They are some of the most comfortable footwear I have ever worn. Even ask Omega; he'll tell you. He has some 550s of his own.

$20 more? Hmm, may consider that, it's only a little bit over a week of allowance. And where could I get a pair of these?

LATER: Found them for $109 here (http://www.militaryboots.com/belleville-mens-550st-usmc-steel-toe-boots.html). Look very tan-ish, but they say Olive. I'll look around more.

Make no doubt about it, they are tan. They're still top of the line boots, nonetheless.

Wait, I feel like a tard. I went back and read and you want black boots.... oops....

Well, I know Belleville, Bates, Oakley, and 5.11 all make good boots. I'm trying to think of any other really good ones.

Out of those black boots, the 700 STs look the best, IMHO. They're temperate climate, so they'll be good for you to wear in the summer and the winter, plus they're weather resistant. That's an epic win in my book.

I'd just go on Evike and grab some of the cheap surplus jungle boots...
