Summer is here!

We all knew this thread would happen eventually...and I wanted to be the one to do it

Anyone have any plans for the summer that're somewhat interesting?

I'm starting work on my nursing degree...taking soc, anatomy, and chem at NC this summer (ugh).
Trying to finish up the prerequisites before I graduate from highschool so I can go straight into a nursing program.

Plus going to Illinois for family reunion and going to hit up some of the local fields.

I'm hoping to go to california. I used to live there before i moved, so every once in a while i go down there and visit.

Ill probably be heading to my field a few times this summer, working at mcdonalds pretty much every day... hrmm hoping to get a vacation in there somewhere... Right now I just can't wait for my new stuff to come..

Im starting my second job and I will be taking my Behind the Wheel training so i can get my farmers permit sometime this summer....airsoft!

Fun fun, I held off on my Behind the Wheel training until this year...my first session will be at night
Kinda sucks having to walk or take the bus everywhere while my friends are off driving hehe.

I am currently bullshitting around in Ranger, Texas, but when I get home, I'm going to see if I can find a job somewhere. I'm also going to be heading out to the local field and try to do some recruiting for Lobo Two-Six. Hopefully I'll be going somewhere this summer, just haven't planned that far ahead yet.

It does suck because all my friends are older and can drive....I was in the first group to pass my knowledge test so i got to sign up first so my first Behind the Wheel is monday with Nnamkied! can't wait....

Gun range daily instead of weekly, vermont, hunting, new job

ACT, Summer Leadership School, first vacation in close to 8 years, summer swimming league, summer tennis, counselor at a military kids camp(hopefully, interview on tues), signing enlistment contract somewhere in between all of this, oh and AIRSOFT!

Thats about it, should be fun.

Sorry jarhead, I like good supply lines. I'm looking at some options in the Air Force, as well as the Navy.

My father served in the Air Force. He started as a marine, and said that Air Force was much better.

Thats what I've heard. I wasn't really interested in the AF until I started looking into their ground pounding units more. My 5 "dream jobs" so far are,

PJ
CCT/JTAC
Security Forces
EOD
Crew Chief on HH-60 helicoptors. Or any heli for that matter.

I really want to get into the med field, but the recruiter who came into JROTC said the med slots are pretty much filled. He did say the ground pounding field always needs more people. So I think I should be able to get atleast one of my dream jobs.

Work work and more work. Hopefully find some time to play airsoft and maybe take a road trip down to Florida sometime towards the end of summer but i doubt it since i have money to save up. College sucks in the money department.

Pssh, supply lines are overrated! Show me a Marine who can't survive for two weeks with nothing but a handful of cocktail peanuts, a packet of Sweet N' Low, and a cup full of stagnant canal water!

In all seriousness, I will say the PJs are amazing and EOD would be sweet too. I guess it's a good thing for me that the Corps has EOD!

I don't yet for sure. If i end up driving down i'll probably go to either Miami or most likely Fort Lauderdale since my older sister lives down there. Jacksonville though would also be another place i'd consider going since i've been there once and really liked it.
