Ghillie?

I was just wondering if any of you snipers have made a ghillie and what material's you used to do so. My friend just got a sniper, so I am probably going to try being a spotter for him occasionally, which will require me to be as well hidden as him. Are there any kits that work well? I will probably just want a jacket with a hood.

Ok, I guess there must not be any snipers on here that use ghillie's... I guess I will have to use google.

I have heard that Burlap is the basic material that most snipers use, but I would like for somebody to give me some more info on it or post some pics of their ghillie.

That one you like is REALLY nice looking. It is a little more than I was planning on putting into it, but it looks very nice.

srry didn't see your thread.I have made my own ghillie suit and it turned out great but it did take me awhile.the things you need is burlap,netting,flight suit(most people like the pants and jacket but when your crawling sticks and stuff tend to get stuck in there),shoe glue,dye,and canvas material.listen I could write how to make it and every thing but it'll be really long so I'm not but listen I made my ghillie by this instructional movie its 20 bucks but it'll be well worth it trust me.

There are several options for you to look into Seabass. I don't think you're looking for a full ghillie, just something to mainly cover your head and torso, without paying an arm and a leg to do so. Here are some suggestions:

Hope that helps - even if it simply gives you something to work off of when searching online. For your purpose, you won't need to spend anything over $70 for a good setup. But you could probably get away with a gun ghillie and face veil, and not give away your or your sniper's position. Also, if you end up buying a jute/burlap suit, make sure to get some extra dry flame retardant ($5-10) powder to ensure it stays less-flammable. Last thing we need is a guy catching fire in the middle of a tournament

If you get the time you NEED to make a thread on how to make one. At least give us some pics. and a quick run down on how you did it, how long it took to make, ect. Pretty please.

i didn't make one.. BUT i ordered one from evike. Good enough of a ghillie, coming sometime next week like say mon. tues.

the only two reasons i dont want ghillie is because it makes it hard to blend in with enviorments that dont match your suit, and it makes you look like a ring wraith from the lord of the rings

Can you say OVERKILL

Ragnar, ghilles, well the one i am getting have small "holes" that you can insert real foliage into.. Liek they are little squares or whatever in the suit.

I just started making my own ghillie. I will put up picks when I am done.
