Where you a sniper when you started airsoft or were you turned

This is for all of the snipers out there when you first started airsoft were you a sniper right off the bat , I was , or did you have to be conviced , and if so tell us about it here

I was a riflemen at first but i just grew into the sniper role

MY first gun was a pistol, then I got my sniper, so I would say that I started as a sniper.

I started as a sniper and still am today.

Nope I was orignally going to buy the L96 back in the n00bie days, until I found another small forum similar in greatness to this one. And I began to change my mind because where I live, it isn't as wide open and grassy enough to do much sniping, so i settled for my first gun, my JG G36C and it hasn't failed me since.

Started as a N00B then switched roles when I pulled my head out of my ***. Actually I played a bunch of roles before my recent switch to sniper. Medic, EOD(same as an Engineer), Rifleman, DM(by far spent the longest on this role), I was learning to play point for awhile. Surprisingly I have never been an XO(force comander), a CO(comanding officer), or a support gunner.

I would consider my self a rare breed of sniper , I will snipe and stuff but whenever I and my team get under fire I'll grab an AEG and be a support gunner , we also have a another sniper on A.A.E. who does this exact same thing yet he has a AK-47 , and a JG- Bar 10 , we consider him more of an assassin than a sniper .

Then you have us, anti-snipers/scout/Mechsnip3rs to deal with

Overall, I just love my plastic RAMBO knife, i bought it at ASatl. and we had a lot of good laughs with it.

My friend carries around a real one , but he is an Engineer and he uses it to cut fishing line and such .

I was going to be a rifle man or sniper. but then I realized it would be easier just to be a sniper so I am a sniper and always will be:D

i think that a normal riflemen could easly compeat with a sniper and you would be a better fiflemen based on you skills. (sambam2011 also lives and northern michigan and we play airsoft with dj and sniper004)

i feel to be a sniper you must have riflemen skills anti ambush, squad movements and tactics with that knowledge you can see future movements of your prey.... then again im just a sniper hunting marksman

I started off with a nooby crosman spring m4. But when I started Demolitia I changed roles to a sniper/ team captain. But I might do what Alabama Sniper does.

Started as an infantry man then moved to being a engineer (worked with field defenses and as a pointman). I then was a medic for a few months and then bought my XM8. I used it to try out DMing I was a DM for 3 years then moved as a heavy gunner for 4 years I gave up as a Gunner because I relized my accuracy and patience were going to waste and thats when I bought my rifle and turned to sniping.

I was a sniper from the start (even if I didnt have the guns for the job).
