Replacing Plastic Gearbox

I have a friend that has an MP5 with a plastic gearbox that he wants to replace with a metal gearbox. Is that possible and if it is would it work alright or cause any problems?

What brand of MP5? If it's one of those really cheap models i'm going to say probably not unless you mod the body or the GB or both.

If he has a gun with a plastic GB he might as well just replace the gun Smile

Thats what I told him but he wants to put the metal gearbox in it. And plus he's paying me to do it.
