PostSubject: KJW M4 and M9   KJW M4 and M9 Icon_minitimeFri Mar 25, 2011 3:27 pm

Hello, I heard that the KJW M4 is probably the best and most reliable gas blowback M4 on the market or if you disagree what is the best gasblowback M4 on the market? I am trying to decide which version I want to get and was wondering which one looks the most like a U.S. military version.

Also, I have heard there is standard metal magazines for the KJW M4 and I'm wondering where I could get those.

Lastly, what would be the best gas blowback M9 brand to get? The KJW, KSC, or KWA?

Thank you.

idk about the KJW M4 but the M9 should be good. KJW does good with their gas blow back stuff.

I have heard the KJW M4 is pretty good. I am looking for an in depth review and was wondering if you guys could help me find it. I am thinking about putting my Leapers 4x32 AO scope on it and making it a DMR.

Right now I like this KJW M4: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/other-gun/gas-blow-black-rifle/kj-works/kj-works-m4-z-rail-gbb-rifle-tanio-koba-design.html

Also, I am looking for an in depth review of the KJW M9. I have found it for only $82 and was wondering if the KJW M9 in the link below is like the standard U.S. military M9.

For as much as I know about KJW one downside is they do not make many replacement parts for their M9 models. There might be others as well you may not be able to find replacement parts for as well though I am not positively sure.

Just a heads up to look out for.

I think that the KJW M9 might be Tokyo Marui and HFC compatible, tell me if I'm wrong on this or not.

Also, do you guys think it would be a good choice to make a KJW M4 into a DMR?

Finally, does the KJW M9 that I linked look like the U.S. military standard M9?

No, they aren't accurate or consistent enough IMO.

Careful with shipping. I've heard of KJW GBB's in particular being halted by customs a lot lately.

IIRC the kjw m9, being a marui clone doesn't have the decocking feature of the real beretta. Then again only the kwa and western arms actually replicate that feature.

Ok, do you guys think that the KJW M4 is probably the best GBBR M4 to go with? For the M4, WA and WE don't seem to be that great. I have been recommended a King Arms M4 and I need some information or a review on it and I have heard about the KSC, but I have no information on it.

Also, I am trying to decide if I should just stick with one brand such as KJW or KSC. If I would buy a KJW M4 I would go with a KJW M9 and if I bought a KSC M4 I would go with a KJW M9.

Why do you feel like ticking to a a brand? You don\'t need 2 WE guns, a WE and a KJW are just fine. Having the same brand does not really matter if it is marui compatable.

I know I am somewhat picky about that.

Also, what about the KSC and King Arms M4 and what M9 is overall better the KJW, KSC, KWA, or WE?

Finally, would it be better to buy a M4 CQB and buy a longer barrel and be able to switch back and forth between the short barel and the long barrel or by a regular M4 and put a shorter barrel on it?

Remember, I want the most accuracy, range, realism, reliability I can get.

KWA is the best m9 from what i have heard. WE sucks ass, KJW is mediocre but gets the job done.

If you want accuracy and range, get the regular m4, shorter barrel = less accuracy and range (in most cases)

Ok, I wish KWA made a GBB M4 and I HATE the trademarks on the KWA M9 PTP (which is why I like and might choose the KJW M9). Also, where could I buy a more accurate shorter and longer inner and outer barrel for the M4? If I wanted to switch out for CQB and longer range targets would buying a Z-Rail version of the M4 be better or a would the CQB version of the M4 be better?

Can I ask why you want to run gas for both your primary and secondary?
Never really caught on to gas in anything other than pistols. It's a huge waste of money.
Expensive mags, expensive gas, expensive gun= very expensive. AEG's work great and are more reliable. If your really into Blowback, look at ASGI's G4 series. Pneumatic. But, you know, that's just an opinion.

To alexkmmll: Well, I am somewhat obsessed over realism and I hate AEGs. I could just use propane to cut down on the gas cost. Also, I like how high quality most GBBs seem to be I know some AEGs are too, but I wouldn't be caught with one.

It may have trademarks but its better quality. KJW is a good intermediate level brand of Gas Blowback. KWA with their NS2 gas valves and superior hop ups. But i don\'t think they have a rifle. King Arms i think is the only brand of M4's that are legal to buy in america. The ATF approved it recently. Any other would most likely get caught in customs and you would not get it.

But if i know, if im gonna spend all the money your spending on your airsoft kit. I'd just buy the real thing. Am i the only one to find it funny that airsoft mags are more expensive than real steel?

Ok, I am still trying to find more information on the King Arms M4 and the KSC M4. Any information or reviews for the King Arms M4 or KSC m4 would great.

Well, I would buy real steel guns too but I would never be able to shoot real steel guns since I would have to find a place to shoot it and ammo would add up. Also, you can't shoot someone and expect them to live. Razz

If your really looking into something like that, again, look at ASGI's G4 series. They have completely swappable uppers, but they are AEGs.
I would try looking around in ASGI or Evike for different upper recievers. I don\'t know if the M4s you posted have swappable uppers, but that seems to be what your asking for.
(Just an FYI, by taking off an upper reciever, or at least on an AEG, you will expose the gearbox, and take out the whole hop up unit. Im not sure if GBBs even have the option, but you would also need a completely new hop up unit as well as a barrel, and upper reciever. Although quite costly, it's really the only option)

Ok, I am focusing on the KJW Z-Rail M4 still, sorry I am pretty stubborn. The only thing I need would be a lot of information and reviews on the King Arms to compare it to the KJW M4. Smile

I have heard it is the most reliable, best out of the box gas blowback M4 that there is. I am currently trying to find a shorter inner and outer barrel so that I can make it CQB ready.

Also, would using propane in the gun void the warranty if I bought it from ehobbyasia and should I get a FPS reducer for CQB?

No, a shorter barrel length will lower the FPS, but gas guns are not commonly used for CQB because they usually are higher FPS. Some fields don\'t even allow them in some situations. Propane probably wouldnt void the warrenty, but Im not positive. You may want to look into the full price of what your taking on. I have a feeling that in the end, after both replicas are bought, everything you want for them is bought, and you've got everything you need for them, it will run you well over $500, at least. Just make sure there's no surprises after you begin.

A beretta 92 automatically drops the hammer when the safety is activated. That's the decocking feature I'm referring to.

I like the King Arms M4 RIS more than the KJW M4 because of the trademarks. I want the top performance though so could I have some information or reviews on the King Arms M4?

On the subject of the King Arms M4, I wish it only held 30 rounds to be more realistic and the holes in the magazine are pretty weird.

Also, where could I find a shorter inner and outer barrel for the M4?
