A poll

To start off with this is a test for me. The options below are some of the gun styles i like and i think i might beable to narrow down my results with a this poll.

I like G3's with M4 a close second. Then AK's (not a big fan) and I really don't know what would possess anyone to buy a WWII airsoft gun and it annoys me when people turn up at the airsoft field using them also ThunderMaul's or any other ridiculous sci-fi guns

I like m4's but i always like to try something new so i might try out the ak 47.

My main weapon is a M1A1 Thompson. It has served me well, and has NEVER jammed or let me down. It has also been stated by many, including me, that it has the some of the greatest, accurate Iron sights on an airsoft gun. It just better fits my gun choice and weapon style than any other weapon out there. I have a SOC16 and had a Tokyo Marui M4, but my M1A1 has always been my primary. Why would WW2 weapons annoy you? does it seem less realistic to you? M4s are too common- EVERYBODY HAS THEM. Then again, just my opinion.

Yeah i agree with you m14 you watch lots of airsoft videos you are most likely to see a M4.

Yeah I just don't like the look of WW2 weapons on the airsoft battlefield in what is meant to be simulating modern warfare. Just personal preference I'm sure the guns themselves perform fine (although changing mags on a Thompson is more tricky than your average gun, I know, I've fired the real steel )

The reason everyone has M4s is because they work fine, they are easy to work on for repairs, upgrades and have TONS of compatible accessories etc. I believe everyone should have an M16/M4 variant because they make such reliable backup weapons.

I agree with jim on the case simulating modern warfare. There are other teams that simulate ww2 and the fields that offer both.

Just for normal play, we typically don't care because it is either CTF or VIP nothing to deal with modern combat. If I ever go to a OP and see someone with a thompson im going to LMAO

You make a few good points, and I will admit, the mag change can be frustrating but I LOVE the look of older weapons, but then again thats ME. Thats what I do in my free time--read up on guns, their origins, pros/cons, etc. and usually on particularly older weapons. ANYWAY, I can see why you have your opinion.....except for that last statement!! LOL if everybody used an M4 on the field, there would be NO variety what-so ever, It would take ALOT of the fun out of the game for me!! the variety out on the field and not knowing what you are up against provides for many challenges and obstacles in the field.

I voted m4 also. So many options as many of you mentioned, and I'm getting a new m4 for christmas. Might of voted for g36 if it was there though.

Oh-just for the sake of the arguement- While I'm arguing against several M4 aspects, I voted for the M4. I am arguing against a few things about it, but I do really like the gun. I'm hopefully getting a TM M4 before too long.

I love the m4 style but my absolute favorite is the g36.

I really like the mp40 but I think it would have to be G3 or M4 at this point and I don't really care for the AK 47 unless they have all the wood black because I personally thing the wood just makes it look like a piece of ****, but that's just my oppion.

i went for the g3 gust because they are less common and are as good or better than alot of the m4's out there. but thats just what i personally preffer.
