fixer upper

he guys one of my friends has a "sniper rifle" more or less just a bolt action rifle but he is going to give it to me to fix because he wants to know whats wrong with it. The thing is that i have no idea what is wrong with it. I haven't been able to look at it yet but he told me that when he pulls the bolt back it like springs backforward without him pushing and then it gets jammed but when it actually does fire the bb will drop alot in flight do any of you guys have any idea what is wrong with it.

P.S. it is a hobbytron $60 gun but it is one of the better ones because he has had it for a while.

The piston sear is worn down/broken.

ok i will get ahold of the gun wed. And will post pics then but i will definatly look at the piston sear and i will ask who made made it.

ya i have read all of that but none of them seem to be the same like he has to force it close while my friend has to keep it from closing.

I have got four words for you " get a new gun " .

lol its not mine and the kid who has it doesn't have money to speak of so he kinda has to fix it.
