| Hey guys, As a lot of you know, I have been inticipating the arrival of my KWA M4 for some time now. Well, it arrived on schedule yesterday. I only had one battery charged, and of course the gun did not come with one. So I used a regular Ni-mh 8.6v battery that was left here by a friend. It was the only battery charges. Well, I have noticed on Semi-Auto it is REALLY high-pitched, and on Full-Auto, if you fire it indoors the scream of the gun is almost un-bearable. It seems to be shooting fine, by that I mean the BB is traveling fine, and the FPS/RPM seem pretty good. Any ideas? | |

| It is just the motor, If it gets to you, you can always replace it. | |

| That's what I thought it might be. My friend had this same problem wiith his M16. All he had to do is move it further up the pistol grip and it returned to normal....Could that be what is wrong? And I don't want to replace the motor, I haven't even owned the gun a full 24 fours yet. But its so bad that when outside, I can't even fire the thing on full auto while aiming down the iron sights, because my ears are too close, it is really just pounding my head. | |

| There should be a little hex screw on the bottom of the pistol grip(motor housing), turn the screw up or down till the screaming goes away.

| Oh check the height of your motor then. It could be too high and knocking the crap out of the gearbox | |

| And no it isn't The less contact area means more stress and possibly chipping teeth because they don't have enough contact area to distribute the force. | |

| LW is Right, you need to set the motor so that the Pinion gear is fully engaged with the Bevel gear, to High or to low will result in extreme stress on both the Pinion and Bevel Gear, wearing both out very rapidly
Some guns are Extremely loud, brand new and directly out of the Box, SRC as an example, all of their guns, no matter how well you tune, shim, adjust the motor, muffle the GB, are loud.
Something to consider, My first tip would also be the Motor Height, but after checking to see that it is correctly adjusted, I would check the Bushings ( OILED ), and the shimming, an improperly shimmed gun will Scream !

| Gr....after fixing the screaming gun problem everything was going GREAT. It shoots astoundingly well. but, about two hours ago, it just stopped shooting all together. I pull the trigger it just clicks, like the noise you get when you're out of battery.... I checked the fuse and it seems fine....what now?! | |

| Sounds like a GB Jam, If the motor is trying to turn, then your Box is Jammed, If it is just clicking ( Trigger Noise ), could be as simple as the motor being disconnected, if you havn´t opened the GB, there should be no shorts.
Check your Motor connections first,

| My friends had the same problem happen to him, he has a GR-16. His gb was out of place, all you have to do is move it into the right postion. His had a thing you could turn to fix it, if yours doesn't have anything liek that try calling the place where you got it. | |

Check your Motor connections first, Well, the noise I hear isn't JUST the trigger. It sounds like something is trying to turn inside the GB, but it just isn't happening....I think. I will probably send it back and have AEX fix it rather than opening it up myself due to the fact that this gun is brand new.

| There you go DT, send it back, you paid for a gun that should work, not for one that works Maybe.
This is something that allot of players are guilty of, `` Acchhhh !!! Now What !! ´´, Tear the gun down, void the guarentee, and let the manufature off the Hook ( Yes, I have done it also ).
If Players don´t return their defective guns, manufactures are not going to improve on their Quality Control, every returned product costs them more Money, Repairs come out of their pocket, but what hurts them even more, is the damage to their Reputation.
It´s a pain in the tail end, but your money is good enough to take, then their Product should be good enough to Use.
Sorry to hear about your bad Luck.

| Thank you Slob, SOMEBODY understands!!! I have written the letter to but in the box to ship back, and I have the green light from AEX to ship it back. This the reason I keep buying from them, because they are quick to correct their errors and and have great customer service. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some airsofting to do.....With my Thompson.... BTW slob, almost positive you were correct about the GB jam. Thanks, that made it a lot easier to describe the problem to AEX over e-mail. | |
