| What are your guys' thoughts on using ghillie blankets instead of the suits? I'm considering making one instead of making a ghillie suit. | |

| Well, they really limit your mobility. A ghillie blanket only is practical when you are staying in one place for a LONG time, and not moving at all. even then, there is no real adavantage over a suit. IMO, you would be better off making a suit. | |

| You could also make a ghillie-poncho if you just want a throw over. | |

| I would use one if I was a sniper I think there a lot easier to make than an Ghillie suit. There also pretty cheap and more compactable than a Ghillie suit. But they can also look wierd if your snipping and can get hot if your lieing in the middle of field in the middle of summer but same goes for a Ghillie suit. | |
