Yesterday was April 13th 2009, in the city of Washington D.C. a baseball game was planned to be played that afternoon. At approximately 12:30 pm in the broadcasters booth the philidelphia phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas fainted. He was taken to the E.R. where he was later pronounced dead. Harry Kalas was a baseball broadcster legend. He joined the Phillies broadcasting team in 1971/ the year the VET was opened/ and was not greeted greatly due to him taking the place of another great broadcaster. But he soon gained the love and support of the Philidelphia Phans. He was many times called the voice of our summers and was as important to the Phillies as th "P" in our name. He was many times more popular than the players. He was inducted into the baseball hall of fame in 2002 with the Ford C. Frick award. He has shown great support to the Philidelphia phillies and phans. He will be greatly missed.
