Whats with Pistol Grip M4's?

Since my start on our beautiful sport of airsoft i have always wondered what and why they ever thought of making such things like the following:

Pistol M4s are a waist of money I would rather spend $200 on a GBB.

Like the ICS "M4" Pistol. That was a mistake IMO. Im surprised people even bought them.

I would get the WE 1911 just becuase it comes with 2 magazines for $105. I don't think I would ever use the silencer either it just gets in the but it does look cool.

The only thing about the WE is that it doesnt have trades and the Barrel Bushing breaks on them but SOCOM upgraded that part and now it doesnt.

Trades aren't a big deal to me as long as the gun shoots and it can hit what its shooting at im ok with it. Although trades do look nice it dosent effect the shooting.
