Removing the Stock Empty
PostSubject: Removing the Stock   Removing the Stock Icon_minitimeSat May 02, 2009 12:41 am

Well, I don't know how to, but it would be very useful to me, as I have to ride my bike to my friends house or my nearby forest when having wars. I don't feel confortable riding around busy streets with the butt end of my gun sticking out the top of my backpack. So does anyone have a video or pictures, or instructions on how to properly preform the removal of the stock? I know it sorta depends on which gun, I have a MP5 but im returning it (cause it missfeeds/ miss fires) for an Ak-47 or an M4, so a tutorial would be nice.

Thanks.

Well a M4 stock is very easy to remove. FIirst you remove the adjustable stock. If you don't get the adjustable stock...things are self-explanatory. Then you remove the stock tube plate (both full and adjustable have this plate, and you use a 2.5 mm hex allen to remove it). Then down in the tube, there will be a philips head screw that goes to the back of the mechbox. Just undo this screw and you should be able to remove the stock immediately afterwards.

IDK about the AK47 but I imagine the full stock would be almost the same way.

LW he has an MP5...... But its probably just as easy if you look at the front of your stock on an normal MP5 there should be 2 pins that you can just push out and then remove the stock. But be careful of the wires!

MP5 - I believe on most models I believe there is a screw right where the buttstock meets the gun. If you undo those it should slide off. Then you could do a number of things if you wanted to leave it off like: get a mini battery and stick it in the front foregrip if possible (this will require wires to be re-routed). Then you could buy a sliding stock to put in its place...

If you take it back to get something else consider the length of what you are getting... mp5 = small... m4 = longer... ak = even longer. Not sure what your budget is... but maybe you should look into something like this : http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/galaxy-mp5k-smg.html These have rated very well on most websites... reviews are pretty good also. For the money it may be hard to beat. On a sidenote, this is about $40 cheaper than anywhere else I have seen, so you may want to jump on it before its too late.

Well, I kept the MP5, but I noticed a couple of screws im sure its self explainitory. My Friend got an M4 that day, and thank you LW, it worked like a charm and his stock came off like nothing.
