Several things come into play when upgrading ROF. You have the internals in the gearbox, reducing friction. Wiring, reducing resistance, and battery increasing current.

First you need to have the gearbox upgraded with low friction bearing bushings and a well done shim job. Unless you can do it yourself this work will cost about $40. Another upgrade people do is they also check the AoE (angle of engagement) between the sector gear and piston teeth. This is important because it will allow your sector gear to apply its full potential when cocking the piston. And one other internal upgrade you can do is install bearings on your tappet plate to reduce friction. Of course you could install a hi-speed ratio gearset too but the upgrades I mentioned above are cheaper and some are even free.

Wiring. Rewiring your gun with low resistant wiring is minimal in effect but it will make your gun's battery consumption more efficent (less waste). Overall a rewiring job with 16 AWG and Dean connectors will increase the ROF by maybe 3 - 4 RPS than the standard wiring.

Finally the battery. If you install most of the upgrades I described for your gearbox, you could safely run a Li-Po or high voltage NiMH. Just keep two things in mind. Connector type, and handguard size. Those two factors can determine whether or not you need to add on externals like a PEQ box.

Good luck
