| haha, it's entirely modern. the actual steel is a modern repro, the liner is a modern repro, the cover is a small PASGT woodland cover, and the band is a Cat Eyes. oh, and the strap came with the steel. the good thing, though, is you can go out and buy steel pot with a liner for about $15-$20, get a Vietnam-era helmet cover for another $15, and buy a Cat Eye for around $2. just rip the glow-strip off the band. it's great! | |

| thank, you man. on the back, it now says "HOSS". i love writing on my helmet! i wanted to draw a Grim Reaper and write 'Don't Fear the Reaper' underneath it, but i can't draw and it would probably come out looking like a dried fruit. | |

| haha, i just picked up my helmet and saw it has some other things on it. it's got 9/11 WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN, I'M A PORK-EATING CRUSADER (in arabic, of course), PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN, and the sentence, "Those who have Crossed with Direct Eyes to Death's other Kingdom, Remember Us -- if at all -- Not as Violent, Lost Souls, but Only as the Hollow Men." that's from one of the greatest war poems ever written, if you ask me. | |
