As I understand it,your right on spot with marpat. The marines deployed this camo design specifically for use in multiple enviorments where the foilage can change rapidly. The design of the camo itself is such that it breaks up all your natural body curves no matter the lighting or background conditions. It simply makes it near impossible for the human eye to pick up and say there is a target.I wasn't a marine so if any are in here, feel free to respond to this as I may be wrong. But the whole idea with marpat was so there was no need to equip soldiers with various camo patterns.Other than that Id say there is no right or wrong till you talk about guille's.Here is where the pattern matters as youll stand out from a mile away without the proper suit for the enviroment.
