| This post by admin covers it - Quote :
- 1. Pack light - take only what you need! You will regret carrying anything that you don’t need. Remember, most events will last 6+ hours of non-stop action! You can obviously take as many items to the actual event; I’m mainly talking what you carry on to the field.
2. Prepare for the weather. Look at weather reports a day or two before the event. Is it supposed to rain? If it’s an overnight event will the weather drop drastically during the night? Pack clothes accordingly to what you find. Remember, it’d be much better for you to pack more clothes than you need than not enough. 3. Make sure everything’s secure and won’t fall off during long sprints. You don’t want to lose a sidearm, BBs or Mags during the event. Keep everything secured to your body and do several sprints before the event to make sure there’s nothing you need to tighten down or find a new place to store it. 4. Bring water (preferably canteen or camelback). Many fields either have questionable water or no water at all. Pack enough to last you the whole event – as dehydration is good for no one! 5. Bring food (beef jerky, energy bars, etc.) to keep yourself nourished during events. These foods will keep you from suffering from hunger, help you remain focused, and even steady your nerves to make sure your shots and decisions remain sharp. 6. Bring a poncho in case of rain. This isn’t so much to keep you dry, but to keep your guns from getting wet and potentially frying the internals. Many players have been taken out of events due to their guns crapping out on them after rain got inside them. Don’t take this lightly - The rain can ruin your guns!. These can be picked up for $1 at any Wal-Mart – a well made investment. 7. Bring plenty of ammo. Remember events are typically non-stop action. It’s a nuisance to have to ask other players who paid good money for their BBs to loan you several hundred to thousands of rounds because you didn’t think ahead and bring enough. 8. Wear Boots. Not only are they better than wearing shoes comfort-wise for long outdoor events, but they also offer you tread, concealment, and safety. Also, most events require you to wear actual boots. 9. Extra batteries. A standard 1100-1400 MAH battery will not last you an entire event. Bring spare batteries. 10. Charge everything prior to leaving for the event. Many fields don’t have electricity on the field and it’s a pain to ask around for people using chargers that connect to their vehicle. 11. Bring an extra undershirt, maybe even socks, for any break you might take. Sometimes teams are allowed taking a short break to head back to their campsite in order to refill on food/water. I recommend you take some extra clothes (undershirt/socks) to replace your current ones because they’ll most likely be soaked and muddy. If they’re not, then you haven’t been playing hard enough Smile 12. If you have a radio, bring it! Radio comms is vital during events. Don’t count on simply going by everyone else having to tell you what’s being said the whole game. Also, buy a simple headset for your radio prior to the event. You may not even be allowed using a radio if it doesn’t have a headset. They can be picked up for around $15 at any Wal-Mart. (make sure the adapter on your headset matches your specific radio) 13. Bring a sweat rag (or small hand towel) with you that you can wipe your face, optics, and goggles with. You’ll most likely regret not bringing one of these if you don’t. You may read about needing a “dead rag” as well. This is a red rag that you place on your head when you are KIA. 14. Wear appropriate eye protection. Not only will this be required by the field (for insurance/safety reasons), but it will be in your best interest not to try and skimp on protecting your eyes. No normal shooting glasses will be allowed. 9 times out of 10 you'll have to wear sealed goggles with impact resistant lenses. This also means that normal ski goggles with flimsy lenses will not work. Most fields do check for this so be careful and be safe!

| First off,
What kind of Event is it ? Speed Game, Mil-Sim, RPG, Combination of the before mentioned ?
Terrain ? Woodland, CQB/CQC, Hills, Flat.
Duration ? 6 +, 12+, 24, 24+ hours,
The answers will help others to narrow down the suggestions as to what you will need, example, if it is a 6-12 hour event, Food( MRE, EPA ) is not a necessity, but water is an absolute must regardless of game/event length.

| Water, and gatoraide is amazing for events. Small pouches of food like bags of fruity snacks and cheese it are PERFECT. (although I wouldn't bring too many snacks that will make you more thirsty) for a ten hour event I bring 3 bags of fruit snacks, two bags of cheese it's, and a bag of animal crackers (crackers of any sort are great because they settle upset stomaches) You will want atleast two batteries; they WILL run out. And before you go out and buy tons of ammo, check if the site requires Biodegradeable, some even require that you buy from them. | |

which is why the NHL and the NFL coaches supply it to their players on the bench in a game? You got it mixed upvwith poweraide, that stuff is 100% sugar. And gatoraide Tiger is great for AS because it has Theanine in it to help you focus.

| Hey hey gentlemen we don't need to fight about liquid here whats important is wether it hydrates or not which both water and gatoraid do. Its also preference. Another aspect metallic is how do you plan to carry it. By day pack, vest, backpack, ect ect. Also as for water if you don't have one i recomend a bladder dosent have to be a camel back just somthing thats easy to carry. Along with a bladder a nalgene bottle to refill it woudnt hurt. As for food trail mix is the best stuff ever. Me my Bro and my Dad hiked an entire mountain with 30-40 pounds on our backs and 2 things got us through it water and trail mix. As for magazines it depends on if your with a gunner. If theres a guy next to you with a big ol box mag rattling around theres no point for mids. However since its mil sim will you be carrying mags with only 30 bbs a mag or are you aloud to carry anything. don't forget about socks as well you will get sweaty and you may step in some deep water. If your carrying high caps just carry a bottle or two of ammo. Also a small towl may help in the paintball relm you carry a towl for paint that hits your mask and for the massive amount of sweat that builds around your mask. Another item you may overlook is Off bug spray. Not the Off with 25% deet the one with 95% deet spray that on all exposed skin your bdus and your hat n you will not be bit once. A medical kit may also help several sizes of band aid some neosporin that kinda stuff. If you can fit one an unjamming rod might be useful. A hat will keep sun outa your eyes and such. And just bring a good spirit play fair and be friendly and cooperative. I'm quite sure Slob or Sticks will crush my measley post but for short term there ya go. | |

personally, i think a 2qt canteen or two would do the trick. they aren't all big and bulky, either. you can just kinda fold it down and stick it in your ruck when it's empty. here's what it looks like. also, i'd suggest tinted goggles if it's going to be sunny, but, that can be kinda expensive.

You're absolutely right, but I don't think Micr0mac or I meant anything hostile towards one another When I get my MOLLE, I plan on getting a hydration pack, which only works with water!! (well, it WORKS with Gatoraide, but it ruins the hydration pack

| good job, people, kiss and make up. we have airsoft to talk about! Metallic, take some flour tortillas and jalapenos/habaneros, too. the tortillas are full of carbs to keep you running and the jalapenos/habaneros really wake you up if you're getting tired. | |

| i see how that would work, but you have a high chance of choking on your gum while running, resulting in your death and one less airsofter in the world. see, with the pepper idea, you swallow it, your throat burns, and there's no chance of you choking and dying unless you're allergic to the pepper. but, they are both good ideas. | |

| Here is one for you, and you already have all that you need to stay awake, nothing extra to carry, only problem, it drives most people bonkers Tickle the roof of your mouth with the tip of your tounge, no noise, no smell, and nothing extra to carry, annoying as a little sister, I promise you it will keep you awake. | |
