| i was thinking about getting the Airsoft gi G4 A5 DMR http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_302&products_id=5319. the base of the gun is G&G and in all the reviews for it were nothing but good. but then i heard that G&G has bad internals. hear are just a few... -they use zink, a very soft metal, in their gears and shims -plastic hop up -no ball bearings in the spring guide -crappy bucking i don't know if these are bs or not or if the problems have already been fixed but i don't want to make a mistake by buying it or not PLEASE HELP!!! ooooorah

| ncis, you can't click on them. you must highlight them, then copy and paste them into the address bar. | |

| ive talked to a few people in the industry(gun techs, airsoft company reps, and store owners) from what ive been told g&g make good guns but if they brake or you want to upgrade they can be a real pain to work on. it seams they use some non TM compatable parts. | |

| Hey hey hey all, there IS such thing as a NECRO, as long as it's for an appropriate reason though everythings fine, as is the case here. Much appreciated information Valkyrie, although it's possible a little Bias is present I was the one that supplied Semper with this info, guilty as charged. But then again it was told to ME by a certain Moderator.... I learned that all these crappy gun symptoms were only present in their much older models, they fixed it a while back. (That info ALSO supplied by a certain Mod, but not the same one) | |

| The new G&G PROLINE's still have a plastic hop-up, crappy wiring, and low quality gears. However they stepped up their game with the piston assembly. Thats all I'm going to say about this lol.

| I know this won't really help the original poster, but for future reference, TechGeek001 got a G&G GR16 recently, and I'm getting one soon. His is a total beast. Nice range, accuracy, and RoF even with an 8.4v.
Edit: Now that I have mine and TechGeek001 has had his a while, I'd say the only thing that might need to be replaced right away is the plastic hopup unit. Without any hop it shoots straight (but falls of course), but with any amount of hop every 5th shot or so with mine will stray off in an odd direction. I'm still diagnosing the problem, but I think a metal hopup unit would be a safe bet for a fix.
