| Well, My buddy M16A3 (A member on here, noI'm not friends with a rifle....well I'm friends with MY rifle but thats different) has a Red 8.4v battery that behaves quite erradically. It only works in some guns, and any KWA's it's been put into makes you think you have a GB lock (Just a Click when the Trigger is pulled.) It works fine in my Thompson. It didn't work when tested in a Panther-Arms M16A3. It worked in a Well MP5. Come to think of it, all the guns it didn't wor with had a V2 GB....coincidence? SOMEBODY elighten me | |

| Actualy its not,
With the motor in the Pisol Grip, the original Burst of Motor spin up is lost, the motor turns in the grip slightly. Could be that the Battery canĀ“t deliver the sustained output needed.

I understand what you mean about the battery not being able to give the Strong enough Output, but I'm a bit confused on what you said right up there in the blue . Could you elaborate on this a bit more? Thanks I'm a slow learner

- as you can see the motor would be in the pistol grip
no bud, i think he's talking about this: - slob212 wrote:

i think i understand what slob is talking about. i think he's saying "the motor attempts to start, but fails, making it simply turn in the grip."

| Motor Spin up,
Think of it as starting your car, You get in turn the key, the starter kicks in and starts turning the flywheel,
The trigger is the key, the motor is the starter and the bevel gear is the flywheel,
In a Car there is almost no hesitation, only due to the fact that everything is bolted down and there is no play or free movement of the major components.
in most V2 set up guns, the motor in the grip has a bit of free play, so when you pull the trigger ( turn the Key ), the motor actualy start to work against itself inside the grip, only after the motor has become stationary does it start to turn the Bevel Gear.
So if you have a battery that is weak or unable to put out a constant amount of energy ( OhM ), you are loosing the initial burst of power to get the GB Moving, ( Trying to start the Car in the winter, after it has been sitting all night, and your battery is almost dead )

| Ahh, I think I get it now. The battery only has enough power to make the motor move a a bit in the pistol grip, because it isn't stationary....it's almost as if it's Pushing off the Bevel gear because it doesn't have the power to turn it and turn the rest of the GB!!! the Thanks all!! Another personal mystery of AS solved Always wondered about it. Oh and nice Diagram HW! And Slob thanks for always being patient in my teachings | |
