Ok I send off my SCAR to have the gearbox unlocked
but.. the battery is still charged.. do i just leave it as is until the SCAR gets back?

I wouldnt. Who knows how long getting the SCAR fixed will take. Id discharge it just because I don't like leaving batteries charged laying around as its bad for them.

Leaving the battery alone will not do anything to it unless you have old nicads. The only reason to ever discharge a battery completely is if you don't have a smart charger.
