make an airsoft war

how do you do it.... like getting the land and everything

yea i was wondering the same thing...can you like organize one at a park?

The best way is to get someone's land, and then organize people through facebook and other means of communication. Usually you won't be able to take over a public park. Believe me, I've tried.

ok well that answers one question...but who is this "someone" with the land?

Ah, and here comes the dilemma. No land to play on, but no airsoft fields around your house? WELL, playing on open space or county/state property always runs the risk of run-ins with the PoPo. This isn't as bad as it sounds, if you take the necessary precautions.



If you're definitely going to play on open space, take a few steps towards safety:


1: Fence off the area. Yellow Caution tape is usually a good and cheap 'Access Denial' tool. Hang signs (Wooden, hopefully. So they'll stay straight and legible in the wind. Paint em RED too) that say "AIRSOFT GAME IN PROGRESS." Put up cones and bright flashy signs that tell pedestrians to bounce.
2: Stay away from bike paths, fire roads and foot paths as well as any well travelled places where you are likely to be intruded upon.
3: Keep ID on you at all times. The Police will want to check up on you to make sure that you're not wanted for murder or selling cocaine. (If you do happen to be caught)
4: Know the rules about where you're playing. If you're in an open space preserve like those in Marin County (Where I live, Soc. Repub. of CA), there may be rules expressly forbidding Airsoft and such sports. If that is the case, DON'T AIRSOFT THERE. FIND A DIFFERENT SPOT.
5: Keep at least a little bit of the Orange tip on the end of your barrel. The PoPo get angry and turn green and grow huge muscles when they see no Orange tip. You can repaint an incredibly small amount of orange tip on the end, because even that much will satisfy most Officers.
6: Don't point your "Watch your language" guns at the police officers. That should go without saying.
7: Don't allow anyone who plays with you to wear police markings, SWAT badges or anything that you could confuse with a real officer.

Example:You come around a corner and see someone sneaking up a hill towards you with SWAT written on the front of a Black Combat Vest and think its your friend. You raise your rifle to shoot at him and Yippiekiyay Mother****er. You're dead.





These are the most basic rules if you're not going to play on an enclosed field. If you want to get in depth with it, talk to city hall. Talk to the Police Department. Let people know what's going down. If there are houses around where you are, let the inhabitants know.

And one more rule of thumb: Use your freaking common sense please!!

Paintball or airsoft specific fields make great places for an event.

One of the best fields in ohio is actually an ATV park. Try those too.

wow.... but what if the nearest field is 5 hours away and you arn't ready to waste a good $100 or so for airsoft when you could get a new rifle in 2 games?

Talk too the owner of an ATV park and or paintball field. See if they will let you play there.

Also, how do you know if thats your only state field, if you live near another state why not check their state forums out?

well.... welcome to Green bay WI area..... think I'll hop a car farry to michigan..... 3 hours
no paintball fields
but a good open area that I might talk to the city about.

There are plenty of fields in southern Michigan, check out Illinois too. I know there are several near the Chicago area.

well appx 4 hours is a bit longer than what I or my team could handle

their going to freak out and panic

so please call it an airsoft game or skirmish.

Also, if you PERSONALLY know a land owner, ask him to let you borrow the land to play airsoft at.

yes, if you live mainly anywhere except cities and close suburbs, atleast 1 in 10 friends owns land u should be able to use.

Try Skirmish, Game, or Match.
Also remeber all the other good ways of representing the Sport that we've learned here!

Well its exactly like getting hunting permits on people land if you walk up in full camo with your rifle and say

"hey there mister can we shoot up your deer on this here property please"

no you knock on there door in civilian clothes and politley explain to them where youll be hunting from when to when and so on and so forth.
