is TAG basically the playground game but with airsoft guns?

To MIcromac - Yes. Everyone starts on their own team and anyone they shoots is on their team. The game is over when everyone is on one person's team.

Well, my friends and I play a game we call Beast.

The object is everyone Vs 1 person (The beast). Everyone besides the beast has to use a semi-automatic pistol (Nothing else, no grenades, mines etc). The beast gets to use any weapon of his choice (Usually something fully automatic) as well as any grenades and mines, etc.

Now, to make it harder, the beast has X number of lives (When he is shot he must count to a pre-determined number before he can re-spawn). The beast is allowed to re-spawn anywhere during the time he is counting. He can walk right up to your base and re-spawn there if he wants.

Usually the beast has a life for every person on the other team, and the other team usually has 1 life, unless you are missing a lot of people, in which case go for 2+.

^_^ The beast wins if he kills all the other players, the other team wins if they kill the beast (And whoever made the finale killing shot becomes the new beast).

I AM GOING TO TRY BEAST TODAY YAY!

This is a game scenario we run back in Israel, we call it Battlefield, and the ones that played that PC game will see the resemblance right away.

The game is usually played by two teams in the same size but it can be modified to host a third or more parties (same size or smaller). The game was tested for 20-50 players many times. I even run in a big scale of 220 players and it worked great (100 vs 100 vs 20).

In the field we set few spots each spot is represented by a flag in one of 3 colors. One color for each team and one neutral color. In addition we designate 2 “starting points”. To conquer a spots one needs to change flags to his team color and send an SMS with a code that is posted on the spot. This code provides the time, team and information about how many times this spot was conquered to the game master. With this information he can know what is going on in the game on real-time. Any conquered spot is a re-spawn place for that team.

Basic rules:
1-if you get hit you have to sit in that place for 3 mins and then go look for re-spawn ( a spot with your team flag or the starting point).
2-No filling of ammunition in the game zone only on the starting points
3-At the field a Players may hold one high cap or as many low caps as they can carry
4-*optional* for big game area we introduced a support role which can move ammunition from the starting point to the players
Victory: the team which held the spots for the most time wins! (Measured by SMS arrival time)
There are more modifications that can be added, like SUV request which gives to each commander a status report, but that basically that is the game's skeleton.
Make it simple that's our motto.

Zombies!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Pistols, Shotguns, Low Power SMG's allowed
-Single Fire Only
-1-2 people start out infected
-Infected have to "tag" the other players to become zombies
-Zombies can run as fast as they want
-It's a pain game!!!! Zombies don't have to back off until they cry!

Blow up the Objective!!!!!!
-A team of (X) operatives try to blow up a objective
-Explosives are boxes of ammo, or anything that will work
-Militia defend (more militia than operatives)
-Medic Rules for Operatives are:
Maximum of 4 medics
Medics heal by putting gun down and pretending to work on soldier (20 sec)

We play a game called WMD. There are 3 teams: The buyers, the sellers, and the spec. ops.
The sellers start off with the largest team and a WMD prop. They have to stay at their designated location until the buyers arrive. The buyers wait 10 minutes before spawning in. Once they do, they move to retrieve the WMD. They negotiate with the sellers for a minute, then bring the WMD back to their spawn point. Once they get it there they win. Both the buyers and the sellers have one-hit outs and no respawns. It's the goal of the spec. ops. to eliminate all opposing players and/or "destroy" the WMD by holding on to it for 10 seconds. They spawn out of sight of the sellers and start immediately. The spec. ops. are highly trained, so anyone can act as a medic, but there are usually only 2 players on that team out of a total of 8, so they're still at a disadvantage. They have to be lightning-fast if they want to even stand a chance.

I personally don't like VIP Escort because when my friends and I play it (4 v 5+1) the defenders always get the crappy shotguns and sniper rifles; I'm usually the only one with an AEG. CTF doesn't work well in my opinion, but S&D, TDM (duh), and Assault the Objective (1 team on defense, one attacking, timed) work well for small groups. I don't know about larger groups because I have yet to get out to a real field game (I've been to a CQB place three times, once when visiting family friends).

BORDER PATROL. I think I've said it before but here's how it goes:

- US camo uniforms/gear, black tactical uniforms/gear = Border Patrol agent
- Civvie clothes or foreign camo = illegal immigrant
- Immigrants are allowed to cross the "border" (ditch, hill, whatever) as much as they want but BP Agents can only stay on the "American" side. Once immigrants go back to their side they're off limits.
- Immigrants can shoot at agents, agents can only shoot when shot at.
- Optional: Immigrants can have some sort of [fake] contraband to try to smuggle in and get to a designated drop zone.

Here's a fun little warm up game. It's called suicide. Have an alley way with little windows, nooks, and crannies on either side. Have one person stay out and have the rest move into those windows, nooks, etc. all along alley way for an ambush. When they are ready, have the one person on the other side move through while trying to get hit as little as possible and neutralizing as many opponents as possible. It's a fun little warm up!

I think Ive heard of this and they called it "The Gauntlet". Ive been wanting to try something like this except with snipers.

It would be 5-1. 5 snipers versus 1 good player and they would have to reach one side of the field without getting hit once.
