| I think we need to make a contest out of this and the two best would be selected by the Mods and Admin then they would be choosen by popluar vote. How'd that be? | |

| Good idea I suppose. I think a price of $10+shipping is fair enough. Also can we get the velcro kind? =D | |

| I think as far as a motto, "no politics, strictly airsoft" would be fine. If the velco came through, we could wear these on our plate carriers, if our shoulders already have patches. | |

I'm leaning more towards velcro, myself. I want to be able to put it on my cap, so it's good to go to school, the field, where ever. Besides, I can't sew. (You're speaking to guy who failed home ec.)

| LOVING the idea everyone, question though: how do you get velcro patches on?? I got a patch off ASGI a while back and it was velcro, but....I'm sorry I think I'm missing the point of velcro patches, or my patch was pissing a piece. My patch doesn't stick to anything because, well, it's velcro. It only sticks to other velcro and other wool-like material. How would I get this on anything?? Or are the patches SUPPOSED to come with (mine didn't) another side that has the fuzzy wool material on one side, and is sticky on the other, so that you can put your patch wherever you like....? Somebody help me out. As for color, I agree with OD. Motto, I say " STRICTLY AIRSOFT" should be the motto. If not that, then maybe a simple "No Hating" Good thinking fellas, lets keep the creative juices flowing!! | |

| Seems to me that most BDUs don't have velcro space, but ACU-style coats have them. If you don't have any velcro-ready cammies you could but them on hats, vests, etc. | |

| M14DT, Velcro is widely available and used on BDU's, Vests, ADMIN pouches, and Soft Armor replica's. Usually this velcro space is used for patches....
I'd be down.... Protip for the patches, order from China in bulk(ie, 1,000). Also, who would be in charge of issuing the patches? How will we give the patches to everyone on AA? Who decides who gets a patch and who doesn't?

| Well we could just make a donation/payment and in turn we receive a patch. It's not deciding who gets one and who doesn't, but if you want a patch then send a donation to whoever is tasked to order the patches, and they send back a patch. My mom donated to some church thing and they sent her a lapel pin. That's how I was thinking the patches should work.
And we could send a check or money order to whoever is in charge of this.

sticks Like I mentioned earlier, either Admin or one of us moderators will have to be responsible for ordering, buying, and shipping the patches. Maybe even all of us being responsible for a portion and sending to a select group. Such as everyone with last names A-whatever and M-whatever go talk to moderator bleh. (As we can see this gets really confusing. Here is what I suggest. 1. Get an official design on the patch that everyone can agree to. Without that it's not worth talking about anything beyond that let alone shipping. This also means we need to know if it is velcro, it's color. The whole thing needs to be designed. 2. Get a very accurate count of who wants the patch. We would need an exact number. 3. Get price quotes on everything including: the patch price and how many patches we get for it. Shipping, etc. 4. After we know how much the entire thing will cost, each person who wanted a patch will need to pay whoever is going to do the ordering (For convenience purposes I say only 1 person order the patches. Either Admin or a moderator (I suggest Admin just because he is the highest authority, but in theory anyone could do the ordering). For prices I also suggest adding $5 per person, that way whoever does do the ordering is getting compensation for their trouble. That is $5 over the price for the patch and shipping etc. 5. After everyone has paid, person X will order the patches to their own address (because I doubt any site will mass deliver to mass addresses). This is where it gets complicated. 6. Person X has 2 choices, he can send out each and every patch to the addresses provided to him (Using the shipping money that everyone paid him and he still has) (The shipping to his address would be covered by everyone paying a portion as it's only one very large shipping). That means everyone needs to pay 2 shipping's. A portion of the first shipping, then the shipping to their own address. Choice #2 if for example Admin orders, buys, and receives the patches, he can then ship a smaller portion of the patches to each moderator. Then each moderator could send out their patches to the list of addresses provided them. This method is more complicated for several reasons. For one, each person would have to pay more shipping. A portion of the original mass shipping to Admin, then second smaller mass shipping to each moderator, then the shipping to their own house. Admin would also have to send the shipping money to each moderator so that they can ship the patches out to their final destination. Obviously there are more chances of everything going wrong with more work like this. After each person gets their patch, we would need a way to confirm everyone got their patch. Either delivery confirmation or the honor system. This gets more complicated for custom patches. For example if the moderators had patches that say moderator on it, and there were 200 moderators, you would have to be sure to send those to specific people (I use this example because it's the easiest one, and because someone suggested having a spot for state initials on the patch).

| Sounds good to me.
And not everyone has unanimously agree on the design, if you don't like it don't buy it.

| Well its not like we have 2,000 people here so I don't see a real need to do scenario B.
Lets just order 500 from china and admin can sell them for profit.

| White Wolf contacted me earlier today and posed a good question, and reading the last few comments, I think now would be a good time to give an official answer via the forum (As the answer does concern everyone).
I was thinking it would be an interesting idea to hold a small contest. Anyone who wanted could design a patch, and post it's picture on a new topic which will be made later. Then, everyone on the forum could vote on which patch design they like the best. The winner would naturally be the chosen design to use.

| You win the honor and prestige gained from knowing that everyone who ordered a patch is using your design, and that a lot of airsofters in the airsofting world will see your design. | |
