Hehe I whipped up a quick one. Though I'm not sure if the layout is even possible...P.S. The username thing isn't gonna work but I threw it in there anyway.

Hmmm... Simple... I like it. However, what do you think about this: we can make the background a darker OD, then the writing all black. That way it will work on all sorts of loadouts. Even the color you have on there won't work very well for some loadouts, like Tiger Stripe, ABU, or Black.

Yeah I was trying to get it darker but nothing I could find had the right color of textures. I think I'll leave it to the Photoshop big-boys haha Paint is pretty inefficient.

I would keep it simple: OD/Black. Even on my MARPAT uniform I'd rather have a solid background color for a patch.

Is there any way to contour the airsoftallies text to the top of the patch? I like the font, but you may need to contact Admin to find out what exactly it is so you can recreate it rather than trying to modify it. Would be easier imo.

I like the idea of using the silhouettes at the top of the page on the patch. I've toyed with the idea of using only 3 or 4 of them rather than all of them. Something you might try.

I would make a design myself, but I just don't have the time right now. Nice work so far guys!

I don't mean to be a broken record, but I really, really believe OD/Black would be the best color scheme. MARPAT won't work on everybody's loadout and cammies. How about if we make a poll about color scheme? Does that seem fair to you guys?

well, everyone can research it if ya wanted to, but so many mistakes will be made by me that eventually I will have laid a map so they can perfect and win with any design..... but ok

Hey, WW, I'm not trying to just constantly rag on you; it's constructive criticism. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm just beating on you. I'll shut up now.

I could care less actually if you rag on me that means that you see somthing that can change somthing for the better, so a bar or a circle for the patch, or does it matter?

Sorry about it anyways, WW. If somebody was constantly ragging on me, I'd get kinda pissed off.

I think circle would look nice.

Hey, either one would look nice, really. Bars would look better on hats and Admin pouches, but circles would look better on BDUs and rifle bags.

What? I wasn't talking about you I was talking about AFU giving the credit of the contest idea to WW but its not a big deal, and i was aggreeing with you about the circle patch.

well, I did help get some ideas flowing with him, but who truthfully cares, not like the world will burn up and airsoft will be no more!

I like the idea, however due to costs we'll have to have one color scheme. When someone orders patches, the order has to be in large quantities to keep prices low - the larger the order, the smaller the price per patch. And each order has to have one design. So if we wanted to have several color schemes, we'd have to place several smaller orders, which means a lot higher prices. That's why we'll go with what a lot of people have mentioned already, dark OD green with black thread color.

I see your point. I do agree with you on the state name, however, why don't we do state abbreviations instead? For example, mine could say NM instead of New Mexico.

Again, all the patches have to be identical, so state names and forum names unfortunately won't be on them.

I'll be taking care of purchasing the patches and shipping them out to members, but I won't be accepting anything over exactly what it costs me to purchase and ship them. IMHO a Bar would be great, gives more places to sew it on,
