| Hi everyone, I'm looking for a different solution to my spring pistol, but i don't want to use gas or Co2; pretty much the same thing. If anyone has seen any great electric airsoft pistols under $100 or even $80 please tell me about it and maybe send me a link. Thanks | |

| Thanks for the advice. I could also look into a decent mp5k, which is pretty small but a powerful and reliable backup weapon. Thanks for the input guys, and i'll look more into a mp5k now.

| Echo 1 has a few nice versions of the Mp5 you could take a look at. Or you could always go to Airsplat.com, buy the Galaxy mp5k for $90, buy an extra battery, BBs, or whatever else you want for just a little more and qualify for free shipping. You still stay within your budget. | |

- I know you're only looking for advice on which AEP to purchase, not whether or not you should buy one - but as a fellow airsofter, please take mine and Lone Wolf's recommendations and do not purchase an AEP. They're cheaply made (no matter the price), have very, very poor performance, and are rather disappointing. Even Tokyo Marui, who is one of the top airsoft manufacturers, has yet to make a decent AEP. They're just not worth it. You can easily find a great gas pistol for around your price range. Just check'em out.
However, if you're still interested in an AEP, check these out:
http://www.cobraairsoft.com/default.php?cPath=62 http://www.shortyusa.com/airsoft.html?http://www.shortyusa.com/cart/viewitem.html?II=1329&UID=1216179631-98.28.126.30&CA=&RID= http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2074 h/o I did not say that. I only said what the term AEP meant. Gas would be very ineffective and expensive in Wisconsin because of the colder air. Now if he needs a pistol that has semi-auto, and less expensive, then he NEEDS a AEP. its not really a matter of concern for me because I live in GA. GBB work fine... LOL, you could always try the ghetto hand warmer and duct tape trick. (which has been proven worthless)

| Actually I assumed by you saying "For that you can get a decent GBB." you were implying that would be another option for him. And it's not exactly a secret that AEPs are hardly worth the investments if you're serious about airsoft. No one NEEDS an AEP. I'd recommend a $40 GBB over a $110 AEP anyday. Also, I assume this pistol will be used as a sidearm? Sidearms typically shouldn't be used that often, so a Gas powered gun would work OKAY except in extreme cold - which many players don't play too often in extreme cold anyway.
I'd still say go with the mp5k idea over an AEP.

| True. I may look into getting an echo 1 mp5k as my backup weapon, or a galaxy since it's cheaper, but I'm not sure if it breaks easily. The galaxy has a metal gearbox and i believe it's reinforced, but i'll look into both of those guns. thanks for the input guys. | |

| Galaxy makes a very good MP5K. this gun is considered "top notch" by other members on other forums. | |

| Ok. If it is good, then I'll get Galaxy instead of echo 1 because of the cost. Thanks for everyones input, but more is welcome. | |
