| I prefer gas over electric because gas shoots faster and is more powerful most of the time. and you can get a good gas gun for little money. | |

| I believe that gas guns are have simpler mechanics therefore they are simpler to maintain. | |

| I prefer Gas because They are often more realistic, and like DJ sed, they have an easier take down. I can take apart my Luger and put it back together in under a minute, blindfolded. And they are usually so detailed, And with the Blowback action.....OH man | |

| I chose electric because i know internals of electric and i think AEG's are easier to upgrade.
don't be mistaken by the echo1 infront my my M-16, i had and ICS MP5 and it was terrible compared to my M-16

| I would have to say, the idea of a gas gun seems simpler but so far I have only seen that gas guns are actually pretty unreliable... not saying electric guns aren't, just that gas guns seem to have a lot of issues. Even small sidearms have problems and you don't even use them that often. Mags break easy, the mags cost more, etc...
Plus the cost factor would favor electric as you wouldnt have to buy gas over and over again.

| I believe having to charge a battery is a long waste of time though. | |

You have a point but most smart people would charge it the night before. Also gas doesn't work as well in the cold, so im sticking with electric because that works well at most temperatures, only extreme cold you have to worry about your battery freezing.

| Well what gas guns are we talking about? Primaries or sidearms? The best gas rifle you can get is in the $2000 range. A Systema PTW Max is $1500 plus a few mags and a great battery totals it in the $1900 range. So actually there about the same price for the more expensive models. The cheapest (mag gas system not a crappy gas bolt) gas rifle is $200ish. A solid gun(say echo1 G36K with a few goodies) is in the same price range as the gas sniper rifle(200). I didn't include scopes because neither gun comes with a scope and everyone has their preferance. So really gas is not really cheaper at all. One thing no one mentioned was the consistancy of gas rifles. Propane is very lacking as far as consistancy is consistancy is concerned, which is fine if you want a challenge but my M4 consistently chronoed at 392, 392, 393, 392, 392. If it didn't would I have memorized that sequence? Gas is less complicated but an AEG is more consistant. Because of this I'm not going to vote. sticks | |

| Yes you can get a G22 for 150, but a G22 uses a gas bolt system which is notoriously unreliable and is extremely prone to leaking. Besides the G22 is the same price as a good E1.
You can also get a CYMA G18C for $50, which is electric. The mags are only $15 too, compared to getting a WE and some nice TM mags that don't leak after a year its actually less expensive.
I'm not going to wright another two paragraphs about which one is better because its really case sensitive and user sensitive(depends on the person who's using the gun).
