..Seems like the best one out there atm?..yay for open source hahaha. No I think ArduPilot is the best. Paired with thermopiles and GPS, its killer. I've yet to hear much of a difference between paparazzi and ArduPilot.

| Alright... changing my camera system to the Hobby Wireless FPV524 2.4 Ghz http://hobbywireless.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=20&zenid=e4ad69c49dd2b881d61cccf1d562c9d8This system will only give me a mile and a half of video range...but I can't have RC control out of that range anyway. Dropping the use of autopilot systems... going to cost too much... and I can't find a radio system that can transmit out past 3 miles. If I were to go ahead and use an autopilot, I would use a DVR camera instead. So ya, it's becoming more of an FPV build than anything. Recent complications with jobs have left me pretty much screwed as far as money goes. | |

Well $400 for just the base FPV-UAV...so the airframe, servos, motor, battery, camera + telemetry. No autopilot or GPS or anything. The GPS is good actually...I'm still using that old "spy pen" GPS that I got for like $10. It's proven it's worth hahaha. And about that hug...last time I paid $400 for a hug, I ended up having to pay a $400 more for penile ointment. Doesn't seem like a good investment G'day, mate! XD Stupid Australian wannabe...

Although I discourage modeling anything after inaccurate videogames, I must say that a couple of model rockets under the wings or in the center of the fuselage would be quite cool, but not exactly useful. Then of course you would have to take into account the thrust of the engine, wing chord, total surface area, COG, and total lift capacity of the plane, make sure that it wont affect the Aerodynamics, and make sure it doesnt burn up your plane... Eh Durkee we could do it xD
