| Nope, model paint is meant for plastic or wood. It will chip, peel, and "Watch your language" up your gun. | |

| ^usually this. Especially with those crappy oil paints....
However, if you have an airbrush you could use Tamaya paints. They have a much thicker base than most normal model paints. As long as you spray a good primer and cover up the tamaya with a matte finish, it was last much longer than Krylon or Rustolium...

| As an experienced painter, use spray paint, spray it into a bowl, and use a dry brush( if you are dry brushing). Then finish with clear coat... For details do the same... You could use acrylic, but it is not as heavy duty... | |

I think he meant to spray the spraypaint into a bowl...then apply it with a dry brush. | |

| I think I'll use Tamiya paint on my M4 stock/handguard for my new loadout. I have a test stock too, from an old M4 so I can see if it will work. Do they sell it in spray cans or do you need to own an airbrush? | |

| It comes in spray cans. Any decent hobby shop will carry this, mine has a whole rack with unbelievable amounts of different shades like any good paint. each can runs about 4-7 dollars. no airbrush needed. I used 2 colors which ill look up later for you sgt. pepper incase you want same shades as my old m14. And the scope on the gun is a leapers golden image 4X32mm range estimating A.O. scope. purchased off of pyramid air for $40. the scope is not secured to the back but freely rests on the back sight. this worked fairly well because adjuting the scope could be done by raising/lowering the back sight or adjusting the scopes actual knobs. | |

| i think i'd rather have a darker color scheme than your gun has, because it would blend in much better | |
