HAHAHA I just don't like the idea of "Peace" as the cure all for the planet. As they say"Neccesity is the mother of invention"(or something near that) In a major war there are more medical and technological advances than peace time. History has showed us this and thats whats gonna happen.

I, for one, am scared of the Russians. They control so much land, I wouldn't be surprised if they had several WMDs in the most remote areas of Russia. We should be on the lookout

We know for sure the Russians have WMDs, it's what they don't have you should be afraid about. After the USSR broke up, large stockpiles of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons were lost or forgotten, and many could be in terrorist hands today. The thing that scares me the most about all that is the supposed Novichok Agents. It is not known whether or not they really exist, but supposedly, they were a group of nerve agents engineered by the soviets to be 10x more deadly than the most lethal nerve agent at the time, VX gas. It was also engineered to defeat all NATO detection gear and chemical protection. I believe there were 8 agents supposed to have been made, but Novichok-5 is by far the deadliest.

Sadly it doesnt always work like that...in some cases it will comepletly destroy a family. And I was refering to the big picture, public opinion plays a major role in a war, for example the Iraq war...six years ago you would be hard pressed to find anyone agianst the war, and if you did everyone said uhh your unpatriotic ect, once the bodys started coming home...people stopped suporting it, who wants to see thier sons, daughters, brothers, sisters come home in a bag?

Like I said theres a time for war but anyone who sees glory or joy in it is a ******* moron.



And as for the Russians and Chinese...I would be very scared, they don't showcase any of thier tech to the public..sure they have marches but mostly what they have is unknown, unlike the US who likes to showcase new planes, ships, gear ect.

have you seen the video on youtube of russias missile weapons?
i can't find it atm but they had a train that pulled up and the front lifted up and the nose of the train fell of to reveal a missile launching platform you can see it on youtube but i couldnt find the specific clip of it.

you can't win a a guerrila war..the only way to do it is to wipe out every single living creature in the place..and then whats the point? It's not really a war that I see can be won or lost. They're just hunting hajis and shooting them down. There's tons of murder cases already pressed on some guys. We've been in there over 9 years and still no Bin Laden.

My point exactly...for everyone you kill 2 more are created..you kills some of them..they kill some of us. And even if we do get osama( if he is still alive..) A new head will just pop up and he will becoume a martyr. Atleast the wars made it a bit harder for them to operate...

Although some remnants of pre-1991 production were found after the end of the war, US government spokes people confirmed that these were not the weapons for which the US went to war.In 2005, the Central Intelligence Agency released a report saying that no weapons of mass destruction had been found in Iraq, and there was little chance they ever had them.

Saddam never used WMD's agianst US forces, he used musturd gas and others to kill minority groups. Lets not forget were Iraq got most of it's weapons, and how Sadammam got to power....was it provided by some nation seeking to hurt the US? nope, was it some terrorist network that supported him? nope. it was THE USA who gave Iraq it's weapons, and also who got Sadam in power...thats why US soldiers were being killed with US wepons.

The thing is, there hasn't BEEN very many attacks. If you count IEDs planted on roadsides, those are not "terrorist attacks" in my opinion. It's their way of saying "Americans, get the f*ck out."

"Fighting terrorists" is pointless the way I see it. Let me put a scenario in your mind:

NATO miraculously destroyed every single living terrorist, insurgent, opponent, and terrorist affiliate in the entire Middle East. Coalition "wins". We all go back home.

That doesn't do anything. 5, 6, 7, however many years later, their sons mature and learn what happened. Now they too hate America. More attacks. More deaths. More war. It's a bad situation.

To add on to Zane's post at the top of the page, I believe, as well, that we have no reason to be in Iraq right now. The places we needed to invade at the very beginning were Afghanistan, Yemen, Oman, and Jordan. The terrorists that hijacked the planes on 9/11 were all from Afghanistan, Yemen, Oman, and Jordan. Not a one was from Iraq. The reason why we went to Iraq is because the Bush Administration and Cheney (keep in mind, I am a conservative republican, guys) saw it as a good opportunity to take Saddam out of play.

WMD's: There were 3 members of the armed forces from my city that were in the first wave of armor to move into Iraq. 2 of 3 came back and:
1) Said they saw biological weapons in storage with their own eyes.
2) Were ordered not to comment on such things in presence of media personel.
3) Returned home and suffered from various illnesses...one died a couple months after.
Unfortunately I do not have written reports to confirm, so I shall say that the presence of WMD's are "plausible" because of that (I still believe it to be a fact)

Iraq: No matter what way you look at it...we don't need to be there anymore. Any major terror cells in their right minds fled the country following the initial occupation of US forces. The fact that we went in may have made the situation worse, scattering Al Qaeda and other groups throughout the Middle East. The Sadam regime has been long toppled...the only forces that should remain are MP's and those who are designated to the area to train Iraqi security forces. The sooner we fully turn the country over to the Iraqi people, the better off they'll be. They've been taught to rely on the big bad United States for too long. We caused the problem in the first place and our occupation is the western way of "cleaning up" their mess...in the process, thousands die.

Afghanistan: Afghanistan was where Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda lived, harbored by the Islamic extremist Taliban government. But they escaped into Pakistan quite a while ago. The "bad guys" left are just ragtag bands of guerillas funded by opium profits and druglords, many of whom have safe havens in Pakistan.

Pakistan: Pakistan is where the real bad dudes are...but if we were to launch YET ANOTHER campaign in the mid-east, they'd just move again. They're not idiots.


SUPPORT THE TROOPS, NOT THE WAR.

It no longer matters if we should or should not have gone into Iraq, the fact of the matter is we went, and we are there.

In my humble opinion, for what it's worth; it would be worse for us to leave half way through, than to remain. Sometimes, we must do the unpopular thing because it is the right thing to do, even when others don't agree.
