| I'm having trouble removing the stock 363mm M4 barrel from the hop up unit. I've seen several videos and followed the steps that they showed, but nothing worked, the barrel continues to be stuck. Help!
Also, how do you install an SPR front sight? The two screws preventing me from attaching it are not standard Allen key sizes. I have several sets, and none work.

| Not sure about the barrel, sorry.
As for the screws they're most likely metric size (millimeters not inches) so look around at Lowe's or Home Depot for a small set of metric allen wrenches.

| To add on to Drummer's post, a large amount of airsoft products are metric, so I find it's best to keep metric tools around the work space. Just a little tip! | |

| Ohohohoh YES the echo 1 dreaded barrel. More then 5+ people had the same problem removing the barrel from the hop up on echo ones. What I did, was grab another person, and we had to rip the barrel out of the hop up. The nub might possibly come out... thats the problem not sure about the front sight, sorry | |

| Another problem (or two) has arisen. When I installed the free-float RIS kit that came with the SPR conversion, I tightened it down and the RIS isn't lined up with the top rail. So rather than looking like a "+" the RIS looks like an "X". So no vertical grips or red dots, and it looks retarded. I thought that buying more shims for it would help, but I don't know where to go.
Since I'm an idiot, I also stripped the front sight screws trying to remove a metric screw with a standard key. By the time I found a metric key, it was too late. So I get to buy a $25 sight... Yay...
Thanks TheOneNamedMike. I'll try that. If it breaks, oh well, an excuse to get better hop up.

| Screws are stripped, is there anywhere that I can buy new ones? I'd rather not buy a whole new sight for $25 + shipping... | |

| You can buy new screws, but the problem is getting the old ones out. | |

That's why the good Lord gave us the gift of "hammer" and "screwdriver", haha

| Maybe these will help... Front Sight, left side (with screws): [img] [/img] Front Sight, right side (where screws go): Looking down mount (Right side is where threaded holes are, left side is where the screws are now): | |

| well.....you could get a screw extractor kit that goes on an elec. drill....use a bigger screw driver.....or as a last resort drill them out and replace with a self threading/tapping screw slightly larger then the hole. | |

The screws are stripped, and the next size won't fit in at all. My dad suggested the extractor, but how would I take the sight off (rear sight fits so well that the front RIS has to be removed completely to take it off)?
