Trying to convince my friend not to get this

But, he already has a PEQ battery box on his M4. I'm trying to convince him that two PEQ boxes on a gun are impractical.

What exactly does he intend to do with it?

Nothing, he thinks it'll look cool. Now, he's thinkin of adding 3 peqs all together, one on top, and two on each side

Ok, this is what you do, you go up to him, hit him in the back of the shovle, knocking him out, tie him up put him in a dark room with one light, take a laser stay in the shadows tell him not to buy it. knock him out again, and put him in his front yard to wake up

Honestly, the PEQ just looks like crap. Tell your friend to save some time and throw a nice weapon light on there.

And even then, only if he needs it. If he does all his ASing in broad daylight, even a nice weapon light wouldn't be justified. The best thing he can really do for an M4 as far as optics are concerned is get a nice red dot sight.

PEQs in my opinion don't look to bad IMO but, I don't see any use, plus it throws the gun off balance. I hate guns that aren't balanced looking, it bugs me. Part of the reason I like sniper rifles.

anyways tell him to screw it, theres better things to waste money on.

The only real use for a PEQ is to hold a batt or to hold a laser.

Yeah, i think lasers only look good on shotguns.

My friend had this really cool one, it used infer red technology, that could only be seen threw the scope of his rifle so the human eye couldnt spot it, so pretty much you fliped a switch on the scope and a red dot appered were the cross hairs were. when you turned it of the crosshairs came back, let me tell you he was the best night op sniper I knew he learned all sniper traing from his dad and used it for AS

I've seen lasers used very effectively in CQB, and it's actually changed my view on lasers quite a bit. An odd trend I've been noticing lately is that people are putting red lasers on their pistols and SMGs, but green lasers on their rifles. So far, I have yet to see a red laser on a rifle at my field.

How does the size of the weapon have anything to do with the best frequency of laser to use? As far as I know, red lasers are best used in the dark and green lasers in daylight.
