| Subject: New MP7A1 :D Mon Mar 01, 2010 11:42 pm | |
| I just got a new MP7A1 at a game yesterday for $20. It doesn't work because of a broken gear, so I will probably use it as just a parts gun (which may very well be helpful). But I thought I should upload a picture so you can see a comparison between the Tokyo Marui MP7A1 and the Galaxy MP7A1. I have already taken all of the rails off of the Galaxy and put them on the marui (they are less scratched), the flash hider (have not had one yet), and the stock (mine was getting old and less quality), but I kept the stock pad. Some differences that I have noticed from the exteriors are that the Galaxy is much shinier than the TM. The Galaxy squeaks when you grab the pistol grip, because each side of it scratches up on each other. Some things about it that I have found to be better than the Tokyo Marui is the magwell. Although the magwell on my TM has been modified to allow easy mag loading and unloading, the Galaxy still feels a bit looser. This could be a good thing for fast reloads, but the magazine wobbles a little bit in the handle. The flash hider from the galaxy is full metal, and feels very solid. The Tokyo Marui feels like it will never fall apart, and no matter how hard you shake it, it will not make any noise except for the ring I attached to the sling attachment point. The Galaxy feels like if I were to run into a wall or a pole, it would break into ten thousand pieces. Tokyo Marui MP7A1: HIGHLY recommended --- Galaxy MP7A1: Not recommended from what I have seen (might shoot perfectly, but I rather doubt it) Here go the pictures, then... Galaxy on top, Tokyo Marui on bottom Also, does anyone know where I could get the threaded adapter for this gun and a good silencer that doesn't weigh much? Thanks | |

| Oh the picture decided to make a guest appearance Looks pretty cool I guess. I'd still take the KWA/Umarex gas version though. | |

| I had the opportunity, but chose the electric. I have had bad experiences with [4] gas SMGs. I do not know if you could get straight mags, but I doubt it. | |
