Ok so heres the deal...Ive been wanting to try Airsoft sniping for a long time, right now im using a heavily upgraded CA 8-2 as our teams DM..and I love it.

In order to get into sniping I would have to sell my 8-2 at a rather big loss (over 1k in it) since H&K wont let me sell it on ebay, that leaves me with forums and craigslist were I can get maybe 400-500...which isn't much.

but I would love to try sniping...we do fun games were have someone sitting in a clearing with a giantspotlight a tnight and we try to sneak up on em..and im pro so iono it just seems so great.

Do you guys think it would be worth it to sell the 8-2?..or should I continue doing what im doing till it breaks down.

I say keep doing your thing. In all honestly, sniping is more for the beginner or budget airsoft.
That doesnt really apply to you, so why demote yourself?

On the other hand, its more challenging...so if you're bored with being badass, getting a rifle is the way to go Very Happy

Do not listen to this Spl. Durkee card, being an airsoft sniper is a very rewarding postion and one that your team most likely depends on. To me it sounds like the only snipers he encounters are arrogant fools.

Hey man, I realize you're new here, but at least show respect for other members please.

Anyway, I wouldn't sell that thing if it's your pride and joy you know? If someone else you play with has a sniper rifle, maybe you could borrow it for a game or two and see if you really like it? That could help influence your decision. As Dagger One said, there probably is some perks to sniping versus a player with a regular AEG. I don't know though, I've only been in a sniper role once or twice as a fill-in.

I never really liked sniping in airsoft, I prefer the DM role. I have gotten to borrow several (L96, BAR-10, others) sniper rifles, and I never really liked it, considering most stock sniper rifles have horrible accuracy (and my idiot friends were using .2s Rolling Eyes). I'd stick with the DM role.

+1 to Drummer. Borrow someone else's, see how you like it, and then commit.

What is the CA8-2? I've never heard of it (only H&K guns I know are the CA33 and CA36, I think).

I didn't mean dissrepect unless it's deserved all I said was he probally only knew arrogant snipers. How was that an insult. On the otherhand I believe his declaration of Airsoft sniping be for beginners or budget players insulting, just because your an Airsofter doesn't mean you have to go around squandering money.

Its the H&K SL8...officialy mine is the CA 8-2 (SL8) It's one of CA's best AEG's IMO. Comes standard with a tighbore, bipod ect.

My main issue is cost...chewing through bags of .30's is getting pricy..may have to go back to .25s..but the oomf you get out of the .30's is soo smexy.

Heres a pic..I removed the nasty carry handle they have on and instead have a STAR SL9 rail in there with a 3-9*40 scope on it, Looks pretty good.

Need help with a choice... CA013P
(This pic doesnt do it justice)

watch what you're saying. He outanks you, and you should act as such. What he said is true almost 100% of the time. Sure, there are a few people with heavily upgraded guns that can be very good, but generally, a regular gun (M4, M16, etc.) will have as much range and power as a stock gun. It really bothers me when assholes like you walk in and think you own the forum. Learn your place.

I Don't think I own this site I'm smiplely stating my two sense because that is the reason behind a forum. OUTRANKS ME! lolz you must be joking this is a website nothing significantly influencial. Sorry to say but you sound like a brainwashed fanatic. Plus last time I checked your country still believed in the right to free speech or has that changed since I left?
Lastly you should learn how to speak to a woman theres no way you'll get anywhere in life being so rude because of a simple disagreement.

But if it makes you feel better I'm sorry for ever disagreeing with your friend.

Even if I do not agree with the system, this website goes by rank. Look under your name. And you are obviously very wrong if you think that I am going to treat your disrespect any different than I would treat any other gender's. Just learn that you aren't ANY better than anybody else here, and you should fit in just fine. Just don't have this happen again, please.

kindly get back on topic, this is no place for flaming or "disagreements" If you don't have a point to contribute you don't need to post. If you feel you have to inult someone in making your point? you don't need to post. And yes saying
Quote :
Do not listen to this Spl. Durkee card
can be taken as a insult.

K thx bye

Thank you, but back on topic, I would agree to borrowing a friend's rifle. Also, if you do decide to be a sniper, you may consider modifying a m16 to a DMR? That is a much better option, and can give you a quick back up shot.
