Hello all,

As you can see I am new to this site but in turn to airsoft I am not. I currently own a Well L96 stock. Have not invested in any upgrades. The gun does perform well for me and has been a nice gun. Now what I am going to ask is this. I have been lurking around here and noticed it is pretty much between the Bar 10 and the L96. I have been thinking of selling my L96 and moving over to the JG Bar 10. Reason being is that the L96 to me isn't as life like and I like having the real feeling. The whole box type gun to me is kind of annoying. But none the less I want to know if I am making a mistake in selling this to one of my friends then turning around and buying a new one and end up coming short and losing to my old gun.

Now on a side note: I live on a farm. My life is comprised of a lot of out door activities. Paintball, airsoft, hunting, fishing, my animals, 4 wheeling, etc. I know what a real gun is like I own quite a few of those puppies. So to me the square stock and all that is starting to bother me. But I can suck it up. I am just more use to real guns and so forth.

All in all, is it a wise decision to move from a L96 to a Bar 10 for sniping?

Bar 10 is not available anymore (to my knowledge) so keep your rifle and buy maybe a TSD M700, it's $70, completely Bar 10 upgradable, and stock it's a good gun...

I'm getting the TSD m700 and from what I hear and like creed said it is completely Bar 10 Upgradeable, a few minor differences, like a smaller stock and about 1/8 of an inch longer barrel, other then that everything is fine. it has most mods the Bar 10 has, and has a stock m130 spring, if you want to upgrade that you need to buy a new spring guide though which sucks but it will work for you if you don't really need all that power.

Okay, thanks for letting me know the bar 10 is discontinued.

As for the TSD m700. Your saying I would be losing power by switching to an m700 instead of continuing with my L96? How much would I be spending on upgrades to match or pass a stock L96 in power and accuracy. I mean I am fine with a little less power for some more accuracy as I don't make those long shots really. I am more wits then just run an gun and will try till I can't try any more to out wit some one. I currently own a range finder. This is mostly used for my bow hunting. None the less I can use it for airsoft range a tree or rock. If can hit them any where from 20 - 50 yards I am obviously in the clear on power an accuracy. Now 20 yards = 60ft so I am sure you all know that.

All in all I am looking for a new rifle that can stand toe to toe with my L96 but also feels more like an actual gun/rifle that you would find in a home here in the US. I am fine with doing some upgrades depending on price. Not going to drop big bucks for this but none the less I will drop some money for it.
