| Hey guys. well my sniper on the team wants to upgrade his rifle which is an echo 1 m4. one guy on another team called gunz4hire upgraded his m4 into a dmr. I have no clue how he did it, and i rarely talk to him, so i ask you airsoft veterans for advice on what he needs to put in his m4 to make it into a better dmr. Please and thank you | |

| He only needs a different spring if it's not shooting as hot as he'd like it to. Of course it doesn't necessarily need power as much as range.
Also if he got a new spring he'd have to re-inforce his piston, bushings, spring guide, etc. if they weren't up to par.

| Make sure there isn't an manufactured dent on the outer barrel. To test this, grab your current barrel, and at the end where the hop up isn't (the opposite end of the hop up?) stick it through the flash hider end and see if it can fit. If not, don't bother buying a longer inner barrel
More power doesn't necessarily make a better DMR gun, but it doesn't not make it better, if your going to get a new spring, might want to also get some metal bushings and a stronger motor (depending on the spring you intend to put in).

| As far as springs go, an M120 will do the job, possibly M130.Get a tight bore barrel, either 6.03mm or 6.01 if you have easy access to high quality BBs. | |

| For a quick, easy performance boost, use high-quality, heavier-weight BBs. As all have said previously, tighter bore barrel. That's definitely the place to start. | |
