pistol tactics

so it seems that there are a lot of snipers on the forums here, but does anyone just play with their pistol by itself? i think it is definetly something to try.
Pros of using pistols
- easy to aim
- lightweight
- easy to reload
- most are gas powered
- decent range
the only cons are
- less range than an AEG or spring sniper rifle
- gas may run out
- very limited ammunition ( i don't know anyone who has more than 5 mags for one pistol)

Tactics are very simple, since pistols are easy to maneuvure and use, you yourself must be able to easily move around etc.
Basic stance is the half crouch stance (groucho) this enables you are run around at a fast pace while still be able to get the bead on your targets. all other stances apply as well
Entering a room: always aim the pistol one handed towards the door and stand to the side as much as possible (in case they come out before you open the door) using your weak hand open the door fast, don't enter the room straight away, only present your pistol hand and eye (so you can aim) kill off tangoes at the entrance, and then continue to clear out the building.

There is more that i really can't think of... creed has seen me play with only a pistol so he knows how good it is, if you know how to do it.
Pistols teach you to be more cautions (since you have less range and ammo) also they are a lot of fun and make you think more tactically

When I used to play CQB, I'd sometimes clear hallways and the like with my MP5K. If you want to count that as a pistol, here are some of my tactics.

Learn to shoot ambidextrously. I can't tell you how many times that has helped me and kept me from heading back to the respawn. I once had this kill where I was forward of my buddy who was covering the street, and I was going to move across the street. With my right hand, I waved around the corner so he knew I was coming out and covered the open area with my left. While I was waving, a Charlie leaned out began to move his finger towards the trigger. Seeing as he was out of sight of my buddy, it was me or him. I ended up blowing off a full 32-round mag before he got one round out of the barrel. All thanks to training with my left hand.

Another tip, not so much a tactic, is to squeeze the trigger with the tip of your finger (the part under your nail, in case you are confused). By doing this instead of wrapping your finger through the trigger guard like most people do, you'll get a smoother trigger pull and thus more accuracy. When you wrap your finger, you tend to jerk the trigger, which will bring your barrel up. Pretend there is a metal rod sticking out of your barrel and you want it to be on your intended target at all times. We were also taught this in rifle team

Haha i'm just the opposite when playing with my pistol. I usually throw caution to the wind and use speed, a good amount of daring, and a little crazy to take people out.

not necessarily caution as in slow and steady, i meant caution as in awareness, aware you can't reach as far as others who have an AEG, or awareness of your surroundings etc. its easier to be aware with a tiny pistol than with a large AEG in the way of your vision

I like to duel wield pistols and just run from cover to cover shooting steady and fast shots.
