| so... choosing a Dragunov.... I've decided on one that operates like the original, no JG full auto or A&K bolt action. so my question is this... would you guys recommend the Classic army Dragunov or the Real Sword. Yes the CA is a little cheaper. The reason I'm asking in the first place is because I heard one day that Real Sword takes different internal parts than any other type of airsoft gun. Also looking at a video a Real Sword can hit toothpicks from 10m away and lighters from 30m ... just see f I could find a more powerful spring and headshots galore anyway, thoughts? recommendations? possibilties to make me look more russian? there all welcome. | |

| headshots galore? what for? remember to keep within your fields fps limit for sniper rifles..... this is a very important thing to consider when buying any airsoft weapon. i believe if you are buying a real sword or a CA, a spring upgrade is totally unnecessary. | |

| headshots galore was more of a joke, and I thought if I was playing a sniper role I might need a more powerful spring, but now I realize that the RS version has such a long barrel I will probably be able to get more than enough range. | |

| I'm not trying to be mean, just sharing a little secret I learned from being on the Rio Rancho MCJROTC Rifle Marksmanship Team. No matter what you may think, you WILL NOT be hitting bulls first thing.
On my Rifle Team, we used high-end pellet rifles with no lensed optics, only what amounted to improved iron sights. Before I joined Rifle Team, I used to shoot pellet rifles at home, and I was pretty good. But the range was different. We shot at distances of 10 meters, which is pretty much 33 feet. Our bulls were the size of the head of a pin. As I said before, we had no magnifying optics. All we could do to become more accurate was learn to pull between breaths, learn to pull the trigger, not squeeze, and learn that even blinking your eye could bring you off target. We also had some special slings were one end would loop around your arm and the other end would clip onto the pump on our rifles. Those slings helped a lot, but ultimately, being accurate came down to the individual. I'm not going to lie, I got a 89 on my first marksmanship test. 89 out of 200 possible points. But I tried, I came in everyday at five in the morning so I could shoot, so I could qualify for comps I wouldn't be able to go to until the next year. And it paid off. On my last marksmanship test, I scored 178 out of 200 possible. I'm certainly not the best marksman in my unit, but I'm one of the proud few to have been on my Rifle Team.
I just wanted to share that to let you know accuracy does not come in a box with the weapon. It comes only from dedication, hard work, and practice. I hope it helps, my friend. | |

| Right. I know that I'm not going to be hitting bullseyes. I meant after I did alot of practice and maybe a tightbore if I can find the right size. Anyway, if I get it I will show you pics and start a new thread.
Russian stuff FTW! | |
