| Hi - I am very new to this forum and so I am not up to speed on the etiquette so if I make a mistake please bear with me. I am looking for either a King Arms Dragunov SVD bolt action sniper rifle or the VFC Barrett. These went out of production a couple of years ago and so are now pretty rare. If anyone has one of eother of these beauties that they are looking to pass on then I would be really interested to hear from you. I have a friend in the USA so there will be no hassle in trying to ship to England as for the seller it will be internal US Mail only. For your piece of mind I am fully registered with the appropriate authorities UK as a responsible airsofter. Callum007 | |

| Hi Callum,
How much are you willing to spend for the SVD, more and more are showing up on the Markets here in Germany, prices vary so if you could give a general Idea, I will keep my eyes open.
The Barrett will cost an Arm and a Leg, most people that bought these mosters are collectors, and have tuned them to the Max. Just to let you know.

| Hi Slob sorry I haven't been back in contact. I got bored of trying to find a KA SVD and ended up buying a CA M24. I've had it out to 2 skirmishes so far and I can't get the thing to settle down. I have had the hop up changed twice by the guys at JD Airsoft in Cannock but it seems to want to do anything but hit the enemy - pacifist!! If a KA SVD came available then drop me a post and I am sure that unless it was silly money then I would be interested. Could always sell the kids for medical research!!

| The Real Sword is an AEG and so is restricted to 328fps in the UK. The KA SVD however (as you will know) is a bolt action beastie and so is allowed to go to 500fps giving that bit extra range. Mind you both are stunning bits of kit and very desireable. Thanks for heads up on the Barrett I willl have a look for it.

| Hi Guys - I have seen on one of the other forum that A&K have 'released' photographs of what looks like a clone of the King Arms SVD. There's not much information in the article with no planned released dates or idea of price. Anyone got any more info on this one?

| Baretts are hulking and useless but I can't change your mind you might be able to find someone selling one at an event. Purhaps not VFC but still its a barett. | |

| Hi Satan - your observation on the Barrett is very interesting, is this from personal experience? Clearly I wouldn't want to spend my hard earned cash on a 'dog' when it looks like the KA Clone Dragunov is on the way. The SVD is very much my dream of choice with the Barrett being a second choice really. I have a buddy up in Michigan who is looking out for a KIng Arms SVD for me, here's hoping. Thanks for the feedback.

| yes, like Satan said, i have heard the Barretts are incredibly inaccurate. apparently, they are so bad you can't hit the broadside of a barn five feet away from it. they are also very heavy and not that fun to lug around. i think they are about 30 pounds, if what i hear is right. anyway, good luck to you, Callum007! | |

| Well as for inaccuracey no and thats why they're tuned as slob said. So if you find one it should be accurate. A guy in virgina makes PTW (personal training weapons) and one of his specialtiys is a barret. BIG money low FPS lose lose I know a guy and he has it and he can't move its so heavy and long. However he also claims he played juggernauts and kicked admins ass (no offense). So i don't know how credable he is. | |
