| So as many of you know or should know my Bar 10 is out of commission right now, and I am going to a big event on Saturday. The team I am going with is willing to loan me a rifle for the game. I'm not to sure what I will get but I assume I will have some choice in the matter. The problem is most of the rifles they have that I will probably be loaned are AEGs and I don't have much experience with them I want the best rifle I can get that won't break down half way through the event.
So I am going to make a pole and I would like your info on which one you think I should use and why. Please give me a decent explanation and not something like "because the gun looks cool." I'm just asking for a brief description saying why I should use it. On Friday (or early Saturday morning) I am going to check the pole and see what everybody said and why and see which gun came out on top.
Also if you could give me at least 2 or 3 choices just in case I can't use the one that was in the pole.
Please only post if you have experience with these weapons and know what your talking about and don't choose it because it's what everybody else chose.

| I chose the M700 because it has great performance, and is extremely to fix in case of jams. Also, it is a rifle so it will be familiar to you. | |

| Have you had a look at the Echo 1 ASR. It is a spring replica btw, but imho it compares to the Bar-10 (is also lighter) | |

No I haven't I really should but I have zero monies right now to really do anything maybe somebody at the event will have one. I won't hold my breath though not to many snipers in Wyoming they all tend to lean towards the assault type classes more then anything. I can say I am the only one of about 6 snipers on the forum. @Capt-Crowbar: Yes do have experience with type of rifle, but not with gas rifles so it puts me at a stand still. I'm not to sure how well the rifle is and I am going to be playing for 10 hours so that is a lot of gas that I can't afford plus the temperature change throughout the day the event starts at 9am and ends at 7pm so there will be a major temp change. Plus at about 4:30-5 o' clock the wind really kicks up. I'm not trying to bash on your idea because I would love to use it I really would like you said I have experience with the rifle it's just all those little factors.

| My vote goes to the Echo 1 G36C. I have the JG and it's an amazing replica. I've had it nearly a year now and the only thing that's gone wrong with it was the anti-reversal spring. ROF is nice, not too high, but not too low. FPS is around 400, which is great, and once you get your hop up adjusted, you'll be able to shoot the balls off a fly. There's no wobble to it, either.
Hope that helps | |

| I voted for the AK. I've used and seen used lots of budget AK replicas. The only problems I've ever seen on them is battery and battery wires (after they get bent too many times). That excludes problems caused by severe negligence. In my experience, as long as you don't mess with the internals or mistreat them, they're pretty rugged. That being said, if at all possible, you may want to give the barrel a quick swab before you use it. People don't always take care of their replicas and it can lead to jams. | |
