| ok, so as of lately, i have seen too much necro posting, off topic posting, or just plain dumb posts from a lot of new forum members, i'm not going to mention names, but i would suggest any and all to refrain from necro posting, off topic posting, or making dumb posts. if need be please read the rules again.
does anyone else see this problem? or is it just me?

| I see it, but not only from the new members. Its gunna happen, especially when we have an influx of new members that we don't have time to "educate" one on one as we normally have in the past. Best you can do is call em on it (in PM's...otherwise you're breaking the very rule you're calling them on). I expect a large amount of new users this summer...possibly shooting us up past 1000. So we either get used to it or find a solution Necro-ing and such are rather minor offenses, nothing requiring a Mod's input really (IMHO)...so its best to keep it in PM's or note the offense subtly in post along with someone of use to the original topic. | |

| Yeah, I've been seeing it too, but let's be honest here: we're all guilty of it. The best we can do is just try our best to refrain from it and, as Durkee said, try to educate the new guys via PMs. I'll try to help some of the new guys, but I can't do it all alone. | |

Best you can do is just PM and ask them to stop...eventualy they listen just like you guys did.

| I just mentioned it on one of the other posts. I read somewhere (and I will look) that younger kids are almost always responsible. They will go through the whole forum, and when they see something they like, will comment on it. It bothers me a lot and has made me leave a forum in the past. | |

| Zane said it best, - Quote :
- the cycle continues
It always happens with everynew influx of members, and is partly to be expected. Redirect them to the Forum Rules, or give them a helping hand and drop them a PM. As far as the NECRO thing goes, I have no problem with a new member posting his/her thoughts and comments in an old thread for the following reasons, 1, New thoughts and ideas come to light. 2, Shows that some people actualy do take the time to go through all the hundreds of pages of Threads either for research, information or for discussion. 3, I would rather have somebody digging out an old thread and posting, then starting a new thread on a subject that has been discussed on more than one occasion. If you have a problem with a Thread, Post or Subject, and it canĀ“t be resolved with a PM, hit me or any of the other MODs up, we will be happy to take action.
