| where exactly did everybody on the forum get this idea? I was thinking it came from MW2 but everybodies load outs started popping up about 2 months after the game. I know the vast majority of people got these ideas off of games though, not saying all but a lot of people did. | |

| I got mine because I love reading about the real contractors that are overseas right now, and it's a good looking and easy to make loadout. | |

| Mine was inspired by the National Geographic special "Guns for Hire". Man that was a cool bit. Almost made me want to make that a career.
ME: "Hey terry, so what do you do for a living?" BOB: "Oh I'm a racecar driver" ME: "Oh thats nice, I'm a professional badass..."
But then I started learning a bit more about REAL contractors...and it turned me off. Knowing one is enough. I'm too much of an idealist.

| I don't like PMC loadouts. They aren\'t effective enough. That being said, I will probably end up with one soon | |

| Mine was because I liked the way they looked and they were very inexpensive to make. I'm still working on it, but its gonna be awesome. | |

| I did give in haha it's the main reason i ask. I ended up making a civi pmc load out today.
I got the idea off MW2 but gave up and after seeing they were poppular they pissed me off. But after thinking for a while i decided to make one for the terrain no camo helps, urban. I'll get pics up tomarrow.
Other then MW2 I know Army of Two does this and the MGS games do to and I know a few people got the idea of those.

| I think I was the one of the first guys on here to have a PMC loadout and It was Russian PMC one too!
I have ALWAYS been interested in the Contract Operator(people don\'t like "Mercenary") personality so its obviously been around awhile and in airsoft we see alot of people wanting to freelance or make PMC teams.
@Durkee-I recorded the Guns for Hire show on History International...It was awesome...wat turned off from PMCs?

| @Insane Merc Did you know there's actually a difference between a Mercenary and a Private Military Contractor? A Mercenary is a person paid to actively fight as a combatant in a hot zone. A Private Military Contractor is a person who is paid to act in a neutral role in a hot zone and only engage if provoked. Here's something good to think of. If you're protecting a box and have a weapon on you but should only use it if fired upon, you are a Private Contractor. If you are supposed to attack and kill the people protecting the box, you are a Mercenary. Just an interesting little fact for ya! | |
